My wireless button is orange instead of its normal blue light and clicking it doesn't change it to the blue light.

All that is showing in the Network Adapter of my Device Manager is my ethernet (Realtek RTL8102E/8103E Family PCI) and not my Wireless LAN which used to show.

The wireless adapter is also not found in the Control Panel --->Mobile PC--->Adjust Commonly Used Mobility Settings. HP Network Assistant also doesn't work, which I also uninstalled and reinstalled.

At the start up screen, I receive a notice that Wireless Module is not found.

Here's what I've done so far, but with no success:

1) Updated to the latest BIOS version

2) Made sure the Wireless LAN is enabled in the BIOS screen

3) Ensured that there weren't any errors in the Network Adapter in the Device Manager

4) Sleep mode disabled in Power Management in Device Manager

5) Downloaded wireless adapter driver updates

6) System Restore to a previously working condition.

7) Opened the back of the computer where the wireless module is and reseated it just in case it shifted out of place when the laptop dropped. I did this by unscrewing the wireless module and putting it back into position.

I did all of this and my wireless adapter is still not found. If it was showing up then at least I can enable it if it had become disabled, but this is not even the case. On the exterior, nothing is broken. So I'm clueless on what to do.

Please, please, please help.

my mom spilled soda on my hp G60-230US computer and she DID NOT cut off power to it like i told her to do cause it was working with the exception of the trackpad

Is there any way to recover it or is it toast?

the symptoms are as follows

• the trackpad did not work at first, now it goes up and down without me doing a thing or will not register anything else
• now the trackpad dosent register movments every time in the middle now instead, it skips in the middle

The installation process looks pretty easy as far as the lid is concerned, but it looks pretty complicated as far as the body of the computer is concerned.

I would appreciate any guidance, short-cut advice, etc.

When I turn on my Laptop it start to work because I see the lights on and the fan is working, and the hard drive too. But I don't see nothing in the screen, only white screen, but no black.

I took everything out to cleaned the fan, then I put thermal past on the CPU and Graphic. I turn on the Laptop and nothing happened. Also, I took the memories out and tested one by one, and nothing.

I try to open the screen to check the Power inverter, bat, I read some articles about this Laptop, and I found that this Laptop doesn't have power inverter. Now I have a big problem.

From the research I have done I think I need a new powerboard or motherboard (I'm not sure if they are separate).

What are my options?
