HP G72: HP laptop overheats and shuts down.

My HP G72 laptop overheats and turns itself off. What are the possible causes? I have taken it apart and cleaned it completely inside. Very small amount of dirt and the fan is working.

When the hinge detached from the computer lid, the display cable was compromised... I've purchased a new display cable.

The installation process looks pretty easy as far as the lid is concerned, but it looks pretty complicated as far as the body of the computer is concerned.

I would appreciate any guidance, short-cut advice, etc.

I have been trying to find the bottom base for the G72 with the 5 screws as displayed in this walkthrough. HP G72 Keyboard Replacement I have had zero success. Does anyone know where to find this part?
