Helo.

When I turn on my Laptop it start to work because I see the lights on and the fan is working, and the hard drive too. But I don't see nothing in the screen, only white screen, but no black.

I took everything out to cleaned the fan, then I put thermal past on the CPU and Graphic. I turn on the Laptop and nothing happened. Also, I took the memories out and tested one by one, and nothing.

I try to open the screen to check the Power inverter, bat, I read some articles about this Laptop, and I found that this Laptop doesn't have power inverter. Now I have a big problem.

HP G62: My Notebook is not able to start

Once I press the Power button, it seems that my computer starts like always do. But, somehow, after a few seconds of normal activity, the fan switches off and the computer remains in a state of apparent hibernation. During this process, the screen remains off and black, and does not turn on. In addition, the LED power button stays on all the time and the computer does not respond to any key.

My hypotheses are:

1. Something is wrong with the fan (not probably).

2. Something is wrong with the graphics or the screen (I don't think so)

3. Something is wrong with the BIOS (maybe the computer can't load the BIOS, maybe there is a problem with the BIOS battery).

4. Something is wrong with the processor (maybe there is a thermal issue or something worse).

Any ideas or possible solutions? I will try to unmount the computer and clean the inside...and see if that helps.

Thanks!!

HP G62: Why doesn't my laptop turn on all the way?

My laptop won't turn on. The power button lights up like it on, but it appears to be in sleep mode. I can turn it off and back on but it just goes straight to the sleep mode. The screen remains completely black but I can hear the fan running. I took it to a guy and he thinks it is dead. I think it's just a virus but I don't know much of anything about computers.

HP G62 347NR: Boots up fine but shuts down immediatley

Hi!

A friend of mine came to me with his laptop, telling me it would not work properly.

Here's what happens: It (most of the times) powers on just fine, passes the POST but within about 20s from that it just turn off, no error, no nothing... it even sometimes gets to the Windows log-in screen... It is noteworthy to mention that the fan revs up at full speed for the entire duration of the time it "works".

Trying to reboot if after that does not always work, if the power button is pressed the power LED will just flash a few times with no noticeable pattern to it, but nothing will happen.

I suspect this might be a heat problem, but I can't confirm since my new thermal paste hasn't arrived yet :'( Reseating the RAM, clearing the BIOS has not worked.

Anyone has any other suggestion?
