HP Envy x360: Screen and Hinge Repair

Hello, I have a HP Envy x360 Convertible 13-ay0xxx laptop and my right hinge broke and cracked my laptop’s screen too while closing/opening the laptop.

Product Number: 9VT59UA#ABL

I need help to find the correct parts to buy (shipping to Canada) and I am unsure if simply buying a screen replacement will do the job to adjust hinge correctly.

Will it be possible to have a repair guide to replace broken hinge/screen please?

I was also looking to possibly replace the battery for a new one.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

P.S. Here is a video showcasing the issue on my laptop: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/5epcs2fx2...

HP Envy x360: HP ENVY x360 15-cn0xxx Laptop screen keeps flickering constantly

I have an HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn0xxx. Recently, it has started flickering continuously which causes it to freeze. Only solution is to force shutdown with power button. I have reseted windows and installed a new one, issue still persists. I’m pretty convinced that the display cable(flex cable) is damaged. I tried searching online for a replacement but it seems my model type does not exist. Any help?

HP Envy x360: Screen not turning on after replacement

So, my hinge broke off of the back cover on my HP envy x360 15ey0002nc about two months ago, I tried to open the laptop up and in the process broke the screen, which already had the glass broken from closing the laptop with the broken hinge.

After waiting for all the parts to be shipped I finally got to replacing the back cover and the screen, I transferred all the cables and components to the new back cover, but when I connected the screen and power the laptop back on the new screen wouldn’t turn on. When I tried putting the old screen back just to see if it lights up it also didn’t work.

An important thing to note is that during the replacement of the screen this small (same size as the one in the screen bezel) magnet just appeared out of nowhere and I don’t know where it came from. Anyway I trued restarting the laptop, resetting the BIOS, even updating the graphics drivers and nothing seems to help. I also wanna mention that with an external monitor the laptop works fine and everything else is working.

i came across a post on Reddit talking about the hall sensor cutoff switch for the screen, that’s normally used to detect when the laptop is closed to turn of the screen, and that it might be stuck in the off position and that’s why the screen isn’t working. However I haven’t been able to locate the hall sensor, even though I know where the magnet in the screen bezel is. Would anytime be able to help me fix this issue?

HP Envy x360: HP Envy laptop lost power and now doesn't boot

Hi, my friend's HP Envy x360 laptop lost power in the middle of usage, and now doesn't boot whatsoever. Any ideas as to the cause? My best guesses right now are either a short from the damaged USB port fried the board (their phone was charging from the USB port while the computer was charging) or that the battery disconnected.

HP Envy x360: Computer makes loud noises when I turn it on/when I run certain apps

When i turn on my computer it is really loud. It sounds like the fan inside the computer is trying really hard to keep it from overheating. This also happens if I run apps or websites that take a lot of power. If i plug in my charger while the computer is on it happens as well.

Does anyone know a fix to this? should i replaces the fan or is there a simpler fix?

HP Envy x360: HP Envy X360 Convertible 15m-eu0033 Fails to see SSD (& other issues)

I have installed a Samsung 860 EVO (250GB) and a Lite-On CS1-SP32-11 (32GB) but the laptop fails to handshake with either drive, using a Windows 11 install drive and a Hiren's BootCD drive (Disk Management fails to see the drive). I can't find anything in BIOS that I can adjust like Legacy Boot.

The power button also seems to be disabled. The only way I can turn on the laptop from a cold start is to disconnect the battery, plug in the AC Adapter (USB-C), and clear the CMOS Error. Holding down the power button (on the keyboard) fails to generate a response.

For my Windows 11 installation and Hiren's BootCD sessions, the trackpad was inactive. I used a keyboard and external mouse, respectively, to navigate. I did not test for touchscreen functionality.

Getting an SSD to handshake properly is my first priority. I can already work around a bad trackpad and power button.

At this point, I believe I need to replace the motherboard and the entire upper case to bring this laptop back to working condition.
