HP Envy TouchSmart 15: Updated to Windows 10 and bluetooth driver is missing.

Hi, i updated my system to windows 10 and noticed that the bluetooth wasn't there in device manager or showing in settings. I went to HP's site to download the drivers (i tested all that i could get my hands on) but none worked, i even tried driver booster but still nothing. My wifi still works tho.

Please is there anyway to get the bluetooth back or is it a hardware problem? Thanks.

HP Envy TouchSmart 15: Plastic ventilation on side of case broken, fixable or replaceable?

I have an HP Envy TouchSmart 15 laptop, and recently the plastic (bottom) left the side of the computer started parting from the metal top part. Every time I open my computer the gap between the two surfaces will get larger. I was wondering whether it's possible to replace the bottom of the computer (I assume that know one would create such a thing) or whether I'm stuck with it. The picture shows a mild case of partage.

Thanks for your input.

HP Envy TouchSmart 15: wont boot except with (windows key, v, and power button)

i have a newer HP ENVY, still under warranty and the company is being less than useful at addressing my problem

the computer got a screen crack when opening on the 1st week of having it. im guessing it got damaged in shipping and i hadnt noticed because i was not deeply inspecting anything. but im a tiny girl and opening a laptop shouldnt crack the screen that much.

anyway this is now the second problem to have cropped up and im making sure its not a result of the first problem. i disabled the touchscreen driver at request of hp so my screen didnt keep flickering and thinking the mouse was clicking everywhere because of the crack.

after about a month of use like this with no issues, my laptop now wont boot occassionally. it'll have a charged battery or be plugged in (the led indicator is on) but the power button will essentially do nothing. ive ran through some troubleshooting with HP cause i thought it might be the battery since they had some battery recalls. however supposedly they checked that once we finally got the computer to boot.

the only way i can get it to come on is by holding the windows key, v, and the power button. then it will slowly come on with a checksum cmos 502 error. but then it'll boot like normal and work perfectly fine until it goes into sleep mode or powers down and then 90% of the time i'll have to repeat this.

any help would be appreciated

HP Envy TouchSmart 15: No power in laptop, possibly shorted chipset

OVERVIEW:

I open up my laptop quite frequently as I go from new owner to upgrader, gradually replacing the wireless or storage space. On time I got lazy and left the battery plugged in while I went in and poked around. Now the laptop won't turn on.

PROBLEM: Laptop does not power on, unresponsive in general.

CAUSED BY (?): I might have shorted out a component by leaving the battery in while tinkering.

OTHER INFO: The charging light comes on when plugged into the wall adapter, but if on battery mode no lights come on when the power button is depressed (no light codes to read)

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS: I replaced the power button which unsurprisingly did not work. Before purchasing any more components I need to isolate the issue. I need to use some multimeter tricks to identify the full damage to my components before continuing.

REQUESTING: A helpful tip, guide, link to an existing guide resource, etc. for how to correctly use a multimeter to indetify dead components, how to visually ID dead circuit components, etc.

Thank you for any response!

HP Envy TouchSmart 15: How do I get a broken headphone plug out of my jack?

A few months ago the plug to my headphones bent. I didn't think it was too serious of an issue so I continued to use them in my laptop. Eventually, though, the plug snapped in half while in my laptop's headphone jack and I still haven't gotten around to taking it in to get fixed. I've read all the DIY hacks that involve the risk of getting glue stuck in the jack as well as the plug, so that's not what I'm looking for anymore. In the meantime until I have the time to get the plug removed, I was wondering if there's an easy way to disable my headphones so I can listen to music and watch movies with the normal volume. I've tried a few methods, but none of them have worked so far. I'd really like to get back to using my laptop as normally as I can at the moment. Thanks :)
