HP Envy x360 m6-aq105dx: Keyboard and touch pad not working

I replaced the screen and hinges on this laptop model and once I started it back up, the keyboard and touchpad did not work. Both works if I go into the bios, but despite diagnostic tests, it still does not work. I read about Windows updates and keyboard not functioning. Drivers appear to be updated. Followed all checks through HP. I did test of keyboard and 1 key did not work (prnt scrn key). Will replacing the keyboard (HP Part # 807526-001) resolve this problem? Laptop keyboard worked fine before changing out the screen/hinges. I can also use USB keyboard, and touchscreen works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

HP Envy x360: Screen and Hinge Repair

Hello, I have a HP Envy x360 Convertible 13-ay0xxx laptop and my right hinge broke and cracked my laptop’s screen too while closing/opening the laptop.

Product Number: 9VT59UA#ABL

I need help to find the correct parts to buy (shipping to Canada) and I am unsure if simply buying a screen replacement will do the job to adjust hinge correctly.

Will it be possible to have a repair guide to replace broken hinge/screen please?

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

HP Envy-3077nr: Why won't my laptop display, or charge.

Problem:

The computer will not post. It shows signs of booting such as fans spinning, and the optical drive audibly initializing.

Symptoms:

With the factory issued charger inserted, I get a white charge-light for about a second, then it turns orange. The power indicator is also lit, however the HDD light is not. If the charger is removed when the computer is “booted” (I.E. Fans spinning) the light flashes white every second.

Things I’ve Tried:

Different chargers, universal, and brand name. I get the same results.

Unplugging the battery and CMOS and holding the power button for 30 seconds.

Tried and external HDMI monitor.

Swapping RAM with test sticks

Booting without the HDD

Booting with the battery disconnected

Notes:

The battery was swapped in November because it was dead.

The heatsink was swapped in November because one of the fans stopped spinning.

Windows was reinstalled because of a drive issue

Conclusion:

If anyone has any insight, I’d love some assistance. The service manual should be linked on the device page if that helps anyone. Thank you!

HP ENVY 13-ba0000 Series: Frame holding the opening hinges broken

My laptop doesn't shut properly and if I force it, the hinges are likely to break etc. I took the laptop to a repair shop and they said the plastic frame that the hinges are secured onto is snapped internally and I would need to replace this. However, I can't seem to find this part anywhere. I sent the laptop to HP and they almost quoted the price of a new laptop to cover the cost of repair. I'm told the hinges are ok, but snapped plastic mount inside, the hinges wont work. The laptop is outside the warranty period :(

HP Envy: My Laptop won't turn on after a RAM upgrade HP Envy 16-h1775ng

Hey there,

yesterday I tried to upgrade the RAM in my Laptop. It had previously installed 16GB DDR5-5200 and I wanted to upgrade to 32GB DDR5-5200. The procedure was simple:

1. Remove the back cover,

2. Unplug the battery from the motherboard,

3. Remove the RAM metal cover,

4. Change the RAM sticks.

After reassembling my Laptop, it did not turn on. The power button lights up and the fan starts spinning for about 5 seconds. After that, the fan stops and nothing more happens. I cannot even go into the BIOS or boot menu.

After I reinstalled the old RAM, the problem was not fixed. I tried to swap the RAM's slot positions (since the laptop has 2 RAM slots), but that also did not help. Before working on my laptop, I electrically grounded myself and I was really careful during the whole procedure. And since it is not really hard to do the steps above, I shouldn't have broken anything on the mainboard.

Can anyone tell me how I could fix the damage?

Update (08/20/23)

UPDATE: I was able to boot up the Laptop after I pressed the Power button for 3 seconds and holding Win + B simultaniously for 40 sec, then releasing all keys and doing the same procedure again after 1 sec.

This was with the original RAM installed. I will try it with the new RAM tomorrow. I‘ll post an Update then.

HP Envy 15 X360: HP Envy X360 15-u483CL will not power up

The charge indicator LED is solid white when connected to the power adapter, so I know the battery is fully charged.

A few days ago, I put my laptop into hibernation. It seemed to shut down nicely. Later that day, I pressed the power button to turn it on, but nothing happened.

The next day, I opened it up and found the power button had broken from the power button board. So, I purchased a new power button board, part 774599-001 and installed it. Still, when I press the power button, nothing happens. No lights, no sounds, no clicks -- nothing.

So, I may have one of these three conditions:
1. Something on the system board has failed. When it didn't power up, I may have pressed the power button with too much force and that is what broke the button. Now I have a new power button board, but the m/b is still faulty.
2. The power button board that I installed is faulty. I can get a replacement for the replacement.
3. I somehow caused a new issue while I was working on it.

I have tried powering up with and without the power adapter, performing a power drain, starting without the battery connected, and holding the Windows-B keys. Nothing has helped.

What should I try next?
Does anybody know which of the 6 pins in the power board cable can be shorted together to start the computer? If that works, I will know that the power button board is bad, and the system board is good.
Where can I find a schematic for my system board?
