HP EliteBook 8530w: battery seems to be "cooking" when I put it on charge.

My battery is u/s. It sounds like it is “cooking” when I put it on charge. Bought new (genuine HP) battery - same sizzling sound - so I removed it and am using notebook without a battery. Any ideas as to what may cause this? Thank you.

HP EliteBook 8530w: Is upgrade to m2 ngff ssd possible?

Hi,

I have an hp 8740w. I want to add on it another m2 ngff ssd 32gb to install on it linux, to not touch the main drive.

I want to know if this will be possible, considering that i will use ngff m2 to pci-e converter.

I also want to know if there is any way to install it full separately and not touch the windows mbr.

Lastly i want to know how safe is to use this converter for the laptop logic board?

The converter is that here:
