HP EliteBook 8440p: How do your remove the keyboard?

HP's video take apart instructions say nothing about how to remove the keyboard. It just shows it already out. I snapped off one esc key tring to pull it up and stopped there. HP was no help. I've removed a ton of keyboards from Macs and there are sliders at the top of them, and I assumed, most laptops. On the HP I slid the 4 locking sliders back but couldn't lift or pry the keyboard off. So, what's the secret?

HP EliteBook 8440p: How can I fix my laptop that turns on but shows nothing on the screen?

So I decided to update to my HP 8440p elitebook and thought I could do it just like any other software, I had no idea.

I downloaded the installation from the official website and opened it and hit next next install like an idiot. The laptop turned off, I turned it on but nothing shows up on the monitor, just a black screen.

I did notice that the caps lock turns off and on which doesn't happen normally.

I've tried to hook up the laptop to an external monitor but still nothing just a black screen.

I would appreciate some help, thanks!

HP EliteBook 8440p: Black Screen after Failed BIOS upgrade

No BIOS after failed upgrade:

You might have a solution to a failed BIOS upgrade on a HP Elitebook.

Old BIOS was backed up but when flashing started, the laptop suddenly went dead even before it finishes the task. (I suspect a CPU overheat that automatically triggered the swift shutdown)

Is there a procedure for putting BIOS back into the motherboard somehow?

HP EliteBook 8440p: Do you think my laptop can be saved?

HP 4440p

I inherited the HP from a relative and it quickly became my 'go to' pc. After using it in my bedroom I left the HP standing vertically against a nightstand (Lid closed with hinges at the top). The pc was shut down but it was still plugged in with power on to the power unit.

During the night i assume I must have knocked a glass containing a sugary drink over. When I woke up and discovered the accident I checked and the HP seems dead. No sign of power.

I've tried opening the HP up to clean the motherboard and this led me to this site. Given the level of knowledge here I thought I'd ask for advice before going further.

Note I have removed the HD and ram. I'm sure I can access my data but, if possible I'd like to save the computer from my idiocy.
