HP EliteBook 8440p: How do your remove the keyboard?

HP's video take apart instructions say nothing about how to remove the keyboard. It just shows it already out. I snapped off one esc key tring to pull it up and stopped there. HP was no help. I've removed a ton of keyboards from Macs and there are sliders at the top of them, and I assumed, most laptops. On the HP I slid the 4 locking sliders back but couldn't lift or pry the keyboard off. So, what's the secret?

When I ran a driver update on my laptop I needed to update many drivers. All but 1 updated fine. The one driver that did not update was the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN... During the process a box popped up like I was supposed to type something in the box? It kept waiting for some type of prompt. Is this Intel Wireless LAN driver necessary to update on this model?

So I decided to update to my HP 8440p elitebook and thought I could do it just like any other software, I had no idea.

I downloaded the installation from the official website and opened it and hit next next install like an idiot. The laptop turned off, I turned it on but nothing shows up on the monitor, just a black screen.

I did notice that the caps lock turns off and on which doesn't happen normally.

I've tried to hook up the laptop to an external monitor but still nothing just a black screen.

HP EliteBook 8560p: Laptop turns on, caps lock blinks, but the screen doesn't show.

I want a laptop, but I don't want to spend three-hundred dollars. So my family has this old HP EliteBook 8560p and I thought I would use it temporarily. I knew from the start that the HDD was broken. So I swapped out the original drive with a known-good one. I did a quick check through to make sure that all the cables were connected. Then I pressed the power button. The lights turn on, the HDD starts, the fans spin, the caps lock light starts blinking, the screen stays off, and that's all it does. I left it like that for five minutes and the screen stayed off with the fan going full speed. Any ideas?

HP EliteBook 8560p: Why Is My CPU Clock Speed Very Low When Plugged In?

Hello,

I have been using an HP EliteBook 8560p for a while now. It performs tasks very well when on battery power, but when plugged in, it becomes unresponsive and unusable. It was hard to get the task manager screenshot, but I managed.

For some reason, the CPU is at 0.11 GHz when plugged in, but it goes to around 1 GHz (an average speed on the desktop with all apps closed) when on battery power. Can anyone explain and help me solve the significant slowdown of the CPU when plugged in? Thanks.

Here is a picture @oldturkey03,

I decided to check the motherboard's make and model from Windows, and the make is Hewlett-Packard with the model number 1618.
