When i plug my pc is automatically power on the after 1second it shutdown, if i press the power button nothing happens but it i unplug and replug the charger it startup and after 1 second it shut down again

I had The issue of the pc automatically powering on when i plug but before it start up>shut down>start up normally but it didn't really bother me

And i don't have a battery

I left my laptop on the kitchen counter and some weird concoction my sister was cooking got in it through the vents on the back panel. it stopped turning on. The only signs of life are when I turn it on the power light blinks indicating the battery is dead. Also I plugged it into the wall and nothing happened either. (this is a 2760p and not a 2740p)

hi all, i cleaned the cpu fan due to excessive noise. it does not power on after i put all pieces back again. i receive continuous white blinking on the power led when i connect the adaptor cable. i tried everything on hp support guidelines. i would appreciate if any of you have suggestions for this. thx..))

HP Elitebook 2740p: Failed Harddrive, what now?

Turn computer off, turned back on harddrive is dead. No 24 digit number. Lots of stuff in there… like QuickBooks and other things. Is this a throw away situation?

HP EliteBook 2570p: Why is my pc taking too long to start up?

It takes almost 6-7 mins before it starts up!

I've tried several ways to solve the problem: toggling off the startup apps, optimizing the machine for the best performance, uninstalling several apps that I found out I didn't need (and probably were the cause of the problem), running some command prompt programs for fixing maybe any corrupted files and restoring the health of the machine, etc...

All of these, and more, haven't worked!

Picked up a cheap Elitebook, turns out it was one of these beauties. Sadly mines got a horribly damaged top lid (someone took to it with a grinder I think) but doesn’t matter. As it’s really old and has had a long, useful life according to who I bought it off, I’d like to clean it out and replace the thermal paste. Anybody got a guide or tips on where to start?

HP Elitebook 2740p: Random keys press by themselves but stops when boot in safe mode

The keyboard simultaneously presses two keys by itself but when boot in safe mode, it stops. It's such an inconvenience. I've tried installing programs I suspect may be the cause but it's pointless.

Power switch -> power light ->6sec -> blinking LEDx3 (cap lk, num lk?) -> 12sec -> fan at high speed -> 6sec -> LED stop blinking

The whole time, the screen is black

Yes, Ive done a power reset.

This is a freebie, I had to add RAM 2x4gb=8gb, keyboard is warped (from removing RAM?) I’ve not put a HHD in yet.

HP EliteBook 2530p: Laptop doesn`t turniej on

So it`s actually 2540p but it wasn`t an option, anyway, i know that the laptop is long past it`s lifetime but i`d really like to see how long it can go for. Long story short, the battery is long dead at this point and the laptop was working on AC only for the past few months, and today it just turned off during some a bit more intensive cpu task and won`t turn back on. With the battery in and power plugged in it does a short white and then constant orange blinks which afaik means low power onmaster battery. With the battery out and ac in, it gives a short white blink and goes quiet, then after pressing the power button it gives 8 orange blinks and then nothing. I`m honestly not sure what i can do at this point
