My old PSU died and i decided to buy a new one something not too expensive a ig MAX 650W CENTAUR my pc is garbage but is enough to run league of legends but anyways when i changed my psu when i boot up my pc the monitor needs 20 minutes or sometimes more to turn on and the little green lap on the side keeps switching on and off until it gets a signal when it turns on it says that VGA input is active and everytime i tab out or enter a match the same thing happens, it stops working for a few minutes. This all started happening when i changed my PSU but then i got a new PSU from a friend to see if it was the PSU s fault but the same $@$* happens and then i suspected that its the monitor and then i changed the monitor but still it doesnt turn on the little lamp on the side keeps turning on and off but the screen is always black. I have tried everything but nothing works its either that my GPU is at fault but it works it old its a radeon RX 580 but the fans and everything works the games i play run fine its just the monitor that doesnt work

Also 1 detail is that my language changes everytime i turn on my pc it goes from ENG which i always set it to but when i turn it off and then on i automatically switches to SRP

I have just gotten used HP e223 monitor. Since it is supposed to be better and bigger than my current one that I use dor my desktop pc I have tried to set it up. What happens is when I turn on my pc first 5-10 seconds everything is normal but then just agter first screen (the one that has pc name and tells u how to enter BIOS) it goes black and says no input found. I have tried both hdmi and dp but same problem occurs on both. Any idea why this is happening?

So I've had to unplug this monitor after each use since i sleep in the same room. But It doesn't make any noise when it's on.

It's inconvenient to unplug and plug every time. Is there anything i can do?

The noise is very loud close up and definitely noticeable from anywhere in my room(it's a big room).

Hi I have a HP Pavillion 22XI desktop monitor connected to my Apple Mac Mini. The monitor i have had since 2013 from new. It has recently started displaying a part black screen on start up. If I then switch the monitor on and off about 10 to 15 times then it will show a proper full screen without any dark spots and will stay good the whole day until I switch off my computer and monitor and then it will do the same thing all over again on starting up and will only show a proper full screen again after switching the monitor on and off a few times again. I have done a factory reset for the monitor a few times and I have also replaced the HDMI cable but it makes no difference and have unplugged and cleaned the power cable as well but the problem remains. Help would be appreciated.

HP w2216h: How to make 2560x1600 resolution work on HP lp3065 monitor?

Got an used HP LP3065 30” monitor from OfferUp, it looks OK. However, I can only get resolution of 1280x800, but it supposed to have 2560x1600 setup, here is what I did:

1. Use mini display to dvi cable connecting my laptop with the monitor, it shows 1280x800 only, no other option can be chosen.

2. Use Apple dual link dvi adaptor for this connection (which has a separate usb cable, and is used to connect my 30” apple Cinema Display with my laptop), the 2560x1600 resolution option shows up, but cursor stays at 1280x800, if I select that “2560x1600” resolution, there is nothing shows up on monitor at all (I can see some lights on the screen, but just no image shows up).

3. Use dvi to dvi cable connecting my Mac Pro desktop with this monitor, it has the same symptom (no image shows up on screen)

Does anyone know how to make the 2560x1600 setup on this monitor correctly?

Hi,

I have a Hp27b monitor that shows no signal on both the hdmi and displayport inputs. I have tried manually selecting hdmi or displayport on the monitor.

I tested this on two different laptops and both laptops are able to detect and identify the monitor on the laptop end. I tried updating the monitor driver and still the issue persists. The laptop is able to send the signal to the monitor, I believe the monitor itself is not receiving the output from the computer. I also tried different hdmi and displayport cables and same issue. I was able to get a signal on another monitor as well so that eliminates the laptop itself having issues.

Would this be hardware issue of the monitor? If so, would it be the logic board or the cables itself?

This is what shows up right away, I don't recall if it's supposed to be show the hp logo when powered on.

Yes I can view the entire menu perfectly, I can browse to change contrast, viewing mode, input etc..

HP w2216h: What panel does the hp 21kd use?

(this is about the 21kd, not the w2216that was the only hp monitor listed on iFixit) My monitor fell over and the screen broke. Does anyone know what panel the hp 21kd uses, and if not, how can I find out? The hp website was less than helpful, and panel look didn't recognize the monitor's model number. I really don't want to replace it for a stupid reason like a curtain knocking it over, and I don't want it to go to waste.

So the front buttons on this monitor have stopped functioning as normal. All the buttons including the power button only will activate the auto adjustment feature of the monitor except for the auto adjustment button its self.

(My monitor is actually an HP 2509m, but wasan’t available in the list of ‘devices’)

I recently picked up a broken monitor on Craigslist for free. The gentleman said on the post that the light tubes were broken so I thought I'd give it a shot. When I arrived at his house to pick up the monitor he had the monitor disassembled still and showed me the broken CCFLs.

I brought the monitor home (well all the parts anyway), ordered 2 new sets of CCFLs, re-assembled the monitor, powered it on, and this is what I'm greeted with:

(Note - the monitor is upside down in the video just because it's easier to plug in and video record because of the power cord)

The video might be a little misleading at first - it looks to be only black and white, but there is definitely color in the screen. The screen has several vertical lines of varying colors on the left and right sides. There are 2 'leaves' in the top left corner (bottom right in the video) of the screen which don't seem to be flickering or anything, but the rest of the monitor seems to flicker/flash.

I already spent $40 on the ccfls and over 8 hours on this thing, but would love to get this thing working without spending another $40 on it...any ideas?
