<title><![CDATA[HP Deskjet F4480: Printer will not print typed text.]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I have a MacBook computer and an hp deskjet f4480 printer. My issue is that when I print some sort of template, example would be my W-2 form, with text typed in, all that prints is the template, none of the typed text. Why is this? What can I do to fix it? Obviously the printer is not reading the typed in information.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Deskjet F4480: Printer & Scanner not working!]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I donot use my printer frequently and it stays unused for long periods. This time when i started my printer, i can see the orange light blinking, the mini screen showing and exclamation over the color ink meter and the printer making kinds of noises.</p>

<p>When i asked the printer to print(black and white)  it would only make noises and then stop, in the computer it will show printing process failed. When I asked it to SCAN, the error message says scanner is being used by another program. I just recently installed printer software on my new computer and this was the first printing session. The ink cartridge retainer just moves from one side to another, makes mechanical noises, and even the paper is not taken inside, and then it just stops.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Deskjet F4480: Was working fine but stopped after MacOS reinstall and update]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Printer and Scanner was perfectly OK under Mac's HiSierra (10.13.6) native driver, including viewing the Print Queue, Options and Supplies.</p>

<p>After a system crash, I had to format the HD and reinstall the OS, updated to Monterey (12.7.6).  The system normally shows the printer under Printers &amp; Scanners, status as idle and responds to at Cmd-P. It presents the print preview and proceeds after clicking PRINT: it goes to BUSY, shows the printing process flow, the printer icon temporarily shows into the dock, then returns to IDLE and finishes … without any print, though.</p>

<p>A pdf is generated if a print-on-file is requested.</p>

<p>It's like Monterey's driver no longer works with the DJ F44080, however there's no error message. The process completes “normally” but the printer just does nothing, no response.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, hp no longer supports this perfectly functional printer and removed all references to it from their site.</p>

<p>Any hints as of what to do? Any alternative functional driver recommended?</p>

<p>Thanks a lot in advance.</p>

<p>PS: the printer hardware still makes a copy autonomously.</p>
