HP Chromebook14 G5: Chromebook Making Whirring Sound When Charging and Not Turning On

Hello. Randomly, my chromebook stopped turning on. i tried everything. i held down refresh + power button, did everything. it just wouldnt budge. it was working a couple hours ago so im unsure what could have happened.

i plugged it in and it started making some sort of hissing sound. then it would just stop charging. i had to hold it in for it to even show up as charging; when i did it made the high pitch whirring sound again. but this time i could smell something that was like a metal?

i dont know what it was, & google is not that helpful. im afraid that i may have broken my chromebook (which is scary, considering i use it for school.) if anyone could help me, id appreciate it lots.

HP Chromebook14 G5: Spilled water, trackpad malfunctioning?

I spilled a slight bit of water on my personal chromebook in the school cafeteria like a goof, then i looked for paper towels which were across the room, and by the time i came back everything was still fine except the trackpad. I cleaned everything off and everything was working fine, but the trackpad was still acting silly so I let it dry off for a couple of days. I came back to it, now my trackpad detects movement, but doesn't detect pressing. This isnt that much of an issue because I have a mouse and touchscreen, but it's so tedious when I accidentally touch it and now touchscreen doesnt work neither does my mouse. Any help?
