HP 250 G3: Fan starts then stops, no power, caps lock blinks slowly

Hi,

Model is X0Q77ES, 250GB SSD, Model 250 G5

What I’ve tried so far;

Windows Key+B and Windows key+V BIOS and CMOS resets. Didn’t work, fan whirred then stopped, then caps lock blinks. Have to remove battery to stop this

Created BIOS recovery USB from HP Support. Inserted in USB, tried turning on normally and then turning on with WK+B held down. Same result as previous

Went through HP virtual assistance confirming AC adaptor works etc.

Have ended up fairly confident this is a major hardware fault and now requires investigation. On reading, I’ve picked up from various webpages that the ram or hard drive could be the problem.

Found a few answers in ifixit about rotating ram, gpu reset with hairdryer etc. etc, but nothing exactly the same as my issue, so figured I’d put this out there to the experienced users and ask for help.

I’ve been around computers a long time and happy to take things apart, but a novice with laptops and need some guidance for next steps please.

Thanks

Harvey

HP 250 G3: Problem with my HARD DRIVE. It's not being recognized!

Good afternoon. I recently bought a laptop "HP 250 G6" brand new. When i booted it it was okey. After 3 hours when i tried to open it, it said "boot device not found". I called HP support and they said to run a hard disk diagnostic. I did it and it said that there is no hard drive inside. I sent it back to them to send me a new laptop "DOA" but they said that they also have to see the problem and then they are gonna send me a new one. They sent me an e-mail saying that their diagnostic didn't find the problem and that the hard drive is ok. Do you have an idea of what could have happen?

HP 250 G3: power button not working for booting.. but opening lid does?

My HP250 power button won't turn it on but instead works for forced shutdown or hibernation/sleep purposes only. the only way I'm able to switch on the laptop is to remove all power sources that being the battery or adapter cable then after I would close the lid and place back battery or adapter cable, when I open the lid that's when the laptop boots into windows. I have also resorted to force shut it down because every time after shutdown it automatically restarts.

what could be the cause of this ?

I have already tried a couple of those electrostatic discharge methods for the power button to work.
