Does anyone know if/when iFixit will be restocking spare parts for the HMD Skyline? Critical components like the screen and battery have been out of stock for a decent amount of time.

HMD is no help and directs me to iFixit (makes sense since the parts are sold directly on the iFixit store for this device).

Can anyone confirm? I'm still within my return window on this device and if the parts are discontinued I might as well return the device.

Has anyone had any joy in getting a replacement battery for their Skyline phone? If so, when did you get the battery? Where did you get it? Ifixit don't have any, don't have any on order and say themselves the wait will be unreasonable. Gsmnet don't have any and even a trawl of random sites on the internet isn't bringing any up.

Can't believe I bought a self repairable phone from a manufacturer who doesn't supply spares to the public or their repair partners. I would never touch a Nokia/ HMD again!

Hi,

As I use my device it is inevitably getting wear and tear damage from accidents etc. One thing I can't seem to find online is if it's possible to purchase a new frame so I can transfer all the other parts to it to save some money or if the frame is non-replaceable and would need to be a new phone altogehter.

HMD Skyline: iFixit T3 bit broke off inside of the screw that secure the opening me

Hi everyone,

while attempting to open my MHD Skyline, the iFixit T3 bit broke off inside of the screw that secure the opening mechanism. I was using minimal torque – just holding the screwdriver with two fingers and turning gently – but the bit still snapped off cleanly.

Unfortunately, the broken piece is now stuck flush with the top of the screw head, so I can't grip it or move the screw anymore.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on how to remove the broken bit or the screw itself without damaging the device?
