Grace Digital Mondo: Need to replace top volume control

Grace Mondo internet radio has developed intermittent function in the top volume control knob. I am guessing the shaft encoder has failed. Twisting the knob will randomly raise and lower the volume, regardless of direction of rotation.

I find that the remote control iPhone application can still change volume, so the radio is functional, but I would like to recover use of the local volume control

Grace Digital Mondo: Fix for overcharging battery?

Does anyone have a fix for the fact that these are notorious for overcharging the battery and thereby shorting the battery life. It appears there is no current limiting circuit? I am technical, has anyone come up with a design change that can be field added? Thanks

Grace Digital Mondo: Battery Permanent or replaceable?

I opened the case and got to the battery which a Youtube video identified as the problem. In my case,the battery (looks like a 2032, may not be but does look that way) seems to permanently attached to the motherboard. Any thoughts?

Grace Digital Mondo: Connecting to internet via hotspot on iPhone

Hi, the place I work at doesnt allow us to use wifi so I use 4G LTE on my iPhone. I’m trying to connect my radio through the hotspot option on my iPhone but it doesnt connect? The network shows up and I put in the password but doesnt connect to it.

I tried with a family members phone. Used a samsung with the same 4G LTE network and its hotspot. The radio connected just fine with it and I had internet.

So is it just an iPhone problem? I dont really want to get another phone or hotspot device just to have it connect to it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I've had this HD radio for several months. I really only listen to one station, preset HD01. For the past two days, every time I turn on the radio it starts playing HD02. I have to manually push the - HD Search button to get the device back to HD01. It also takes longer for the audio to start playing than it used to. No one else is using the radio. What the heck is going on here?
