Would love to do a hard reset but I need data to back up device. I haven't fixed fingerprint scanner yet, so curious if that's the issue???

I just fixed a google pixel 8 pro, and I found out that no matter what I do I cannot get the wifi and bluetooth to even show me options. I suspect that it is a wifi chip issue, but if there is any other software fixes I can try, I'd like to know about them before I resort to microsoldering.

Google Pixel 8 Pro: Scratched phone battery during removal, strange smell and small expose

I was trying to fix my phone and accidentally scratched the battery while taking it out. Now it has a weird smell, and there is a tiny exposed silver spot on it, around 1 x 1 mm.

I also scratched the black square layer underneath the battery, which I think is some kind of graphite sheet for heat dissipation, and now I can see three tiny gray triangles, each about 1 x 1 mm.

What should I do? Is the battery unsafe now, and should I avoid turning the phone on?

Google Pixel 8 Pro: Why my pixel 8 pro won't charge with USB A to USB C cable

Hi I have a charger that has both usb c and usb a connector. For some reason when I try changing it using a USB A to USBC cable , nothing happens. However when I charge it with USBC to USB C it works perfectly fine. It fast charges my phone.

I know it's not the USB A cable because it works on a different phone. I know it's not the charger because it works on different phone using the same cable.

So does anybody know what is wrong? I am guessing it's charger port issue

Google Pixel 8 Pro: Gestures and proximity not working after screen replacement

Hi, so I just replaced the screen of my Pixel 8 Pro.

After installing it I started noticing some issues. For example:

Everytime a make a call or answer a call, the screen turns black without me bringing it next to my ear.

When a play a voice note, it always plays on the ear speaker not on the bottom speaker.

The click to wake and lift to wake gestures are not working anymore.

I believe this has something to do with the proximity sensors of the new display. Can somebody help me please?
