Overnight it seems like my mobile connection went from good to barely usable. Places on my property I used to be able to connect just don't work any more. Is there any way to diagnose this problem before ripping it apart and hoping that replacing the antenna will work?

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Pixel 7 Pro Screen freaking out when hot

So a few months back I've acquired an pixel 7 pro (GE2AE) from ebay to daily drive GrapheneOS. Been a blast few months until the summer (Vegas Heat being between 115-120F these past few weeks) moment I step outside the screen cooks and when I was recording a live event at the speedway that I normally do with the phones in the past, it overheat and shutdown and when I powered it back on moment it gets hot, the screen will melt and if I lock the screen it will take an active of luck just to show the screen to unlock or if I put it on ice (cold air technically) to cool it down it will return functionality, but with anything white background it has noticeable graphic bleed if that makes sense where the colors will draw downwards. Is this a common problem with these phones or could this be an replacement screen not mentioned in the ebay sale?

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Couldn't download software for fingerprint recalibration Google Pixel

It is likely due to chrome extensions blocking it. I had like 3 extensions which I disabled and it started to work.
Google Pixel 7 Pro: Replacement screen not turning on after reboot

Hi folks,

I recently got a free Pixel 7 Pro with a busted screen from a friend. Got a new one from AliExpress (original Google parts are not available here in Brazil, or far too expensive), followed the iFixit Guide, replaced the screen, everything went fine. Good colors, solid image, touch works, all good. Until I reboot or shut down the phone.

Every single time I do this, the new screen does not turn on, and the only way I have found to get it back is to unplug and plug it again. I can hear the phone chime or vibrate, so it is on.

I thought I had a bad screen, filed a complaint with the seller, got a new one, SAME behavior. So now I'm starting to think that 1) I broke something else during the replacement (Unlikely. I'm not a pro, but I do have experience, and I am very careful) or 2) Two screens from the same (high-rated) vendor are bad somehow?

Has anyone seen this? The phone was OFF during the replacement, and I already tried disconnecting/reconnecting the battery.

Regards,

Atualizar (01/03/25)

Adding further context to my own question...

The behavior I described is consistent with the dreaded "Black Screen" bug. But I get it EVERY time I reboot the device. Holding Power + Vol UP for about 1 minute forces a reboot and puts things back on track, so IN THEORY everything should be fine. But knowing that the bug exists, and I haven't "solved" it, will bug me in the long run.

Tried updating the phone to Android 15 (was still on 14), but the issue persists.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Fingerprint scanner not working after running recalibration software

After replacing my screen I was getting the "Can't use fingerprint sensor. Visit a repair provider" Message. I was able to run the recalibration software fastboot mode on the phone using Windows 10. No driver install| required. After just one reboot I could access the fingerprint settings and create a new fingerprint. After that, the phone does not ever recognize the fingerprint and requires a pattern to unlock/verify. I have tried recreating several new fingerprint scans with different fingers. Nothing fixes this problem. Any advice before I contact iFixit for a second new replacement screen?

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Screen gets black on a light bakground, really dim otherwise. Pix 7P

I replaced my GE2AE Pixel 7 Pro 256gb screen and now it's dim and won't display anything on a bright screen, yet it is fine while it turns on/off and normal brightness at those times

I assume it's the resistors, but I don't see any missing. I also replaced the battery and just replaced the graphite/graphene sheet. I also know someone good with micro soldering, so if it needs new resistors or something I'm sure he could fix it. I would appreciate any help!!!

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Trying to diagnose what is currently wrong

Just replaced a bad battery, here's the phone's current behavior:

No reaction from screen on power up

Pressing the power button causes a single vibration

Turning on a bluetooth headset that was paired to it and nothing else in it's life results in a 'connected' declaration.

Ran around and confirmed that nothing else had picked it up anyway

Removing the charging cable and letting the phone sit for a while to drain resulted in it not vibrating when pressing the power button until I plugged it back into the charger.

I'm suspecting that I accidentally killed the screen when replacing the battery, but would like to hear if there were other checks I can perform or other possible theories.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Replacement screen cant work after reboot

I have a very interesting issue. I have a pixel 7 pro. My screen touch is not working and bought a replacement unit. When I change the screen it was working fine. Touch and fingerprint sensor all working fine, can on and off also. However, once i restart the phone, the screen stops working. In order for the screen to work again. I need to remove and reconnect the screen connector (when the phone is on) and the screen will work perfectly again. However once i reboot, the same issue happens.

So, i tried the few solutions and still the same Issues.

Factory reset

Disconnect the battery and reconnect

update android to latest version.

So now the only way to keep the phone working is not to reboot which is scary. Any suggestions?
