Google Pixel 6a: How to fix fingerprint sensor on Pixel 6a after broken screen fixed--I

I followed Matt M's advice for fixing the fingerprint sensor on his Google 6Pro, but I cannot find how to "right-click" on a Google Pixel 6a phone, so I don't see the "Install" option anywhere on this device to install the .inf file as his advice so sagely advises. How does one right-click on an Android Pixel 6a? And does Matt's advice work on a 6a?

Google Pixel 6a: Pixel 6a - Screen separated from bezel during repair

I am in the process of replacing the battery in my Google Pixel 6a. When opening the device, the screen has (mostly, it's still attached at the bottom) separated from the plastic bezel (see picture). The screen still works perfectly fine, but I don't know where to find an appropriate adhesive to reattach the screen to the bezel. I'd rather not have to spend the money on a new screen.

Context:
The repair guide seems to assume that they won't come apart. It specifically says to not pry between the screen and the bezel, which I did not do. It came apart on its own. (As the user of the phone being repaired, I could tell that the adhesive was on the way out before I started the repair.) It did not come apart due to a swelling battery, the battery I removed from the phone shows no signs of swelling. (The reason I replaced it is due to poor battery life and a battery health warning in settings.) I bought this phone 2nd hand, so I don't really know the history of it and what might have caused this adhesive to fail.

The main thing I'm asking for is advice on what kind of adhesive to buy (or even pre-cut adhesive if possible) to re-attach the screen to the bezel. (I am not asking about the adhesive to attach the bezel to the frame, commonly called the "display adhesive" and included in the repair kit)

Google Pixel 6a: My Pixel 6a got wet—touchscreen issues, need urgent advice

Hello. My aging Pixel 6a has been through a lot—drops, spills, you name it. This morning, while doing laundry, it got splashed with water. I immediately wiped it down, sucked water out of the speakers, mics (top and bottom), and the charging port with my mouth. Everything seemed fine at first, but after 30 minutes, the touchscreen started lagging—like someone was holding down the top part. This has happened before in similar situations and usually went away, so I didn’t worry.

An hour later, it got worse. The touchscreen became almost completely unresponsive—only a small area in the center worked, and the volume slider barely moved between max and slightly lower. I turned it off, put it in rice, and left for an exam. When I came back, things had deteriorated further. The touchscreen now barely responds at all—just a tiny bit in the center and the volume slider.

I asked a friend for advice, and he suggested using a hairdryer to evaporate the water, being careful not to overheat the battery or display. I tried it, but no improvement. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the top part of the display has a slight gap (unlike the solidly sealed bottom), so water probably got in there. I realized I should’ve dried it upside down in rice from the start.

Now, I’m unsure what to do. Should I disassemble it and clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol? Or is the touchscreen permanently dead? I really don’t want to buy a new display—it’s hard to find an original one, shipping takes forever, and the display itself still works fine (only touch and maybe the fingerprint sensor are affected).

This phone is essential for me, and I’m ready to buy tools (opening kit, alcohol, glue) right now if there’s a chance to fix it. Should I attempt a repair, or is it a lost cause?

For now, I’m stuck using an ancient iPhone SE (1st gen), which is pure suffering. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Google Pixel 6a: Touch sometimes not working after screen replacement

Hello.

Just replaced my screen and when I try to unlock it, touch not working so I need to press power button couple times and then it starts working. Once unlocked, it's working fine.

I'm thinking the problem is related to proximiter sensor.

This is ideal camera frame placement. But mine isn't aligned well with the hole, like for 1-2mm vertical shift. Probably bad screen copy. I wonder if it's the issue?

Also, there is little optical thing inserted in that camera frame, maybe I should glue it to the screen too?

Anyway, if you think the problem is in misalignmnent, can I cut screen coverings so I can enlarge camera hole?

Google Pixel 6a: Pixel 6A Dead in Morning after overnight charging

Problem: After an overnight charging of a functional device, I woke up to learn that my phone is not responding at all. Dark Screen. After I pressed the power button or connect to the charger, there is no sign of life.

Google's response was to take it to the local Ubreakifix, authorized repair center. The diagnosis from the repair center was no warranty coverage, battery swap did not fix the issue, return the phone at no charge.

After getting the phone back, observing/realizing that it has an audio ding to the charger connection, which was not there before. Screen is still dark and a short double haptic response when I hold the power button. No images available as teh screen is still dark.

Looking at the experts here to advise on potential failure modes and solutions, repair approaches to help with.

thanks in advance, best regards.

Google Pixel 6a: My Pixel 6a got water damage and after drying the screen is glitched.

Basically my parents told me to give my little brother my phone to entertain him in the car but when we got home he thought it would be funny to flush it in the toilet. It worked at first I powered offand let it dry but the screen is green and purple glitched now at the top with black nothing at the bottom. I can get it replaced fairly easily but theres quite a few photos I would like to get back. It's locked tho so I can't enter my password. Is there anyway to enter the password without the screen or otherwise recover my photos while locked. I legit do not care about anything except file recovery.
