I have a strange problem with my Pixel 3 XL:

It always shows the notification that the connected device is being charged via USB. Although there is no device connected. When I plug in a charger, it does not charge. But when I open the USB settings and change the USB-connection to be managed by the pixel and plug in a charger at the same time, it works. The problem occurs also in safe mode.

The USB-C headphones that came with the Pixel do not work anymore as well.

So Google Support told me it is a hardware problem. But it doesn’t seem to be does it? Or it is a combination of hardware and software maybe?

Do you have any ideas how to fix this?

Unfortunately the warranty is lost because I have a small damage on the outside of the pixel.

When I tap on the notification, it says “Device setup keeps stopping". I checked the phone's IMEI on the online blacklist, but it doesn't classify as lost or stolen. If I try to factory reset the phone, it asks me for an "@google.com" adress.

My question is, should I be worried? Is there a way to fix this?

the microphone of my thone does not work , the mic works when i put it on speaker.

I replaced the bottom connector assembly but that does not solve it?

what could it be? I see a little crack in the white (coax? ) cable could that be the problem?

This issue has survived a reflash from Lineage OS 18 to 19. It occurred/ occurs with both versions. I didn't test it with the original Android OS.

Some forum users suggest pinching the bottom right hand corner to help create contact between certain components with cold solder and the motherboard. I can't tell if this helps or not.

Is the only option a replacement screen, or is there something else I can try before committing to that option (200€).

EDIT:
For some reason, the screen now flashes on dimly and the shuts off quickly while a white line appears in the top third of the screen when I press the lock button.

EDIT 2:
After turning off and on again, the display turned on for a split second showing the boot process, but faded to black right away. I can make out a faint Outline of the google logo afterwards, but nothing after. I'm starting to suspect that the backlight isn't working...

Is it possible to restore the water resistance reliably on these, or should I consign myself to no water resistance and just seal it well enough to close (but be serviceable) once I replace the battery? The battery I put in was bent in (pulled from the donor) removal a little, but it worked for testing.

Nothing happens when a wired or a wireless charger is connected and I need to know if it's the battery or the motherboard before I buy a replacement battery.
