I've replaced screen in my Pixel 2XL and now bottom speaker is not working at all and top one lowers its volume after playing few seconds. Do you have any idea what happened?
Google Pixel 2 XL: Pixel 2 XL not fast charging after battery replacement

I've been using my newly replaced Pixel 2 XL battery (purchased from iFixit) for a little over 2 weeks now, and I've noticed that it charges very slowly when using 18W PD certified fast chargers. It charges faster via a normal 5V/2A USB adapter than the OEM 18W adapter, and I've also used an Anker fast charger which also charges very slowly. I tested charging speeds using AccuBattery and the phone regularly pulled under 1A on the fast chargers, while regularly doing 1.3 on normal ones. The actual charging speeds resulted in something like 48% to 54% in a span of 36 minutes.

One hypothesis I had has to do with the temperature-related charging speeds of the 2 XL - multiple sources have cited the phone not fast charging if the battery is under 20°C (68°F). Testing across multiple apps (GSam, Ampere, etc) it seems that my battery temperature reading is locked at about 20.8°C, which is very close to the threshold. Does the iFixit replacement battery match the spec of the OEM battery to get temperature readings? It's also possible that the connection isn't fully connected. Can anyone else with a iFixit 2 XL battery replacement chime in?

Google Pixel 2 XL: Bright, horizonal lines on screen after water damage. How to fix?

10:00 pm. My Google Pixel 2 XL was hosed under a tap for about five seconds. Water drops can be seen on front and rear camera.

10:10 pm. Boot loop.

11:00 pm. Boots normally. Touch screen no response.

11:30 pm. Everything except camera (blurry image) works fine.

The next day.

8:00 am. Bright, discrete horizontal lines appeared on the left side of the screen. Dark colours (like black) can still be seen but anything brighter than grey will be saturated to white.

8:00 pm. The phone was blew under hair dryer with warm air. Cameras became clear again.

The next day.

11:00 am. The screen was taken off from the rest of the phone. Warm air blew to both touch input and display socket. Bright lines persist.

The lines look like this.

If you turn on the screen after staying off for longer than about 30 seconds, the display looks fine.

In about two seconds, a few bright lines appear.

Two more seconds, the first wave of lines suddenly become a gradient white area on the left side of the screen.

And the bright lines come back gradually. I filmed this with another phone so please ignore the grids.

Google Pixel 2 XL: Why does my screen look like this?

My display looked perfect, but the power button was malfunctioning and the battery life was poor. I carefully followed the iFixit guides after buying the parts here. I replaced the battery, flex cable, installed new speaker meshes, installed the display, and when I turned it back on, it looked like this. The screen is not broken in anyway, but I did use 70% isopropyl to clean the glue from the edge of the display. Could that have caused this? I just don’t understand.

Google Pixel 2 XL: Rear camera not working after swapping into new chassis.

I bought a used back case for my phone from iFixIt. I carefully swapped everything over according to the guide. I replaced the battery with a new one and replaced my cracked screen as well. Everything seemed to be working until I went to take a picture. The app opens for half a second and then closes again. I tried all of the fixes online except for the factory reset. I do not believe this to be a software issue, but possibly something I did wrong.

I took the phone back apart but can’t find anything that looks odd or out of place. The thing is, when you transfer the motherboard you don’t even disconnect the camera. However, I did the old “unplug it and plug it back in” anyway. First I unplugged the battery then unplugged and replugged the rear camera, then the battery. Still the phone app simply opens for half a second and then closes.

What could I have messed up? I would just get a replacement camera but I’m very doubtful that would fix it.

Google Pixel 2 XL: Can I use solvents like mineral spirits to clean asphalt from my USB?

I'm a general contractor doing industrial cleaning. I work with a variety of products and chemicals including asphalt. My phone case doesn't protect my USB-C port so I have asphalt build up in there. I've tried toothpicks and safety pins and compressed air and many other things with little success. I normally use solvents like mineral spirits and WD-40 to dissolve asphalt when cleaning but I'm hesitant to pour solvents in my USB port. I'm about to just try it anyway. Any thoughts on the matter? Also, the asphalt had been transferred to all of my charger cords. My main question is "Will pouring solvents into my USB port short circuit anything or permanently mess anything up?"

Google Pixel 2 XL: Power and Volume Button Flex Cable and Bracket Replacement

My power button is acting up. Pressing the power button sometimes does not work and sometimes it results in a double press when pressed once. I am thinking of replacing the Power and Volume Button Flex Cable and Bracket, but I have questions prior doing so.

1, After removing the screen and the middle shield, does the motherboard need to come out as well to replace the part? How about the battery?

My thought is that I have to remove the motherboard first then I will be able to access the Power and Volume Button Flex Cables. Just not sure on the battery.

I have seen many guides and tear downs, but I have yet to see a video on how the Power and Volume Button Flex Cable and Bracket is actually replaced. I want to know what components of the Pixel 2 XL need to removed in order for it to be replaced.

Thanks for reading and I hope you can help me out!!

Hey Guys,

Anyone else having issues with the durability of the Google Pixel 2 XL screen? I had mine in an otter box, with a screen protector on, in it's OWN pocket of a purse (an isolated leather pocket on the front of the purse, meaning there was a layer of leather between it and my wallet and sunglasses case inside the purse. No keys or anything else in the purse.) It was on my car seat and the purse fell from the seat to the floor of the car at a slow speed . The screen cracked originating at the corner of the microphone. I feel like this is completely unreasonable. Google is refusing to replace the screen. Any tips?
