Google Pixelbook: laptop is stuck in developer mode, cannot access any of the functions

my chromebook recently restarted and logged me out, some update i must’ve allowed, i open it and i log in until i get to the wifi connect screen, i realized i forgot my password so i tey every combination i know. doesn’t work. so i go to google and search things up to see if i can find my password through a backwards way, i end up getting sent on a wild goose chase with my keys and commands and end up in developer mode. i’m told to press crtl+d to exit dev mode to go back to the regular screen and input my wifi password (which i found out you can look on your phone to see minutes after), i do that, and it shuts off. it starts doing this blinking thing and continues to do that until my laptop dies or i close it. i put it down earlier today before i slept to see if it would stop and it’s not. i tried reopening dev mode and input ctrl+d again, but it’s not working and all i can do is flip between the langauges on the usb recovery screen. i can’t access anything else and can only open developer mode. i’m at a loss and are willing to completely factory reset my laptop, but it seems i can’t even do that either not unless it’s completely turned on. i’ve looked for videos to see if anyone has the same issue and found this (https://youtube.com/shorts/yvzrt3TmpIE?s...) this is what’s hapoening to mine. no chrome symbol, no nothing. just blinking :{

Chromebook Pixel (2015): Device will no longer hold a charge. How to replace the battery?

My Chromebook led lights will only show red and no longer will charge. I'm assuming that it's the battery since both USB -C ports appear to be working and I have tried multiple chargers. I saw that I'll need to remove the rubber strips and multiple screws to get into it. But my question is how to purchase a new battery as well as the process of replacing it.

Google Pixelbook: Screen Assembly replacement instructions

Screen Assembly replacement instructions

My 2017 Pixelbook screen is flickering, when it stopped I did a power wash, reconnected to my home network and was able to restore my Gmail account.

Still had a flickering unstable screen so I took it to ubreakifix and best they could do is get a replacement Pixelbook from Google for $600! I already gave up on Google and purchase a Samsung Chromebook II.

ubreakifix suggested replacing the screen, which has the video card attached to it. I purchased a “used” Genuine Google Pixelbook C0A 12.3" LCD Screen Complete Assembly Grade A on e-bay(Item Has Been Professionally Tested / Fully Functional / Comes With Warranty).

I found your instructions to replace he screen, but I have the full screen assembly, so I am looking for instructions to just replace the entire screen assembly. I have the tools and have done phone battery replacements and PC repairs in the past, As a retired IT professional I felt like I can do this myself but was hoping for some guidance.

Google Pixelbook: Why do the hinges and the base part of the laptop in general creak?

I’ve had this about a year (from new- i know, late to the party but somehow managed to find a new one back then), and have always tried my best to look after it: it rarely leaves the house, usually sits on a stand when in use, connected to an external keyboard and mouse, but occasionally goes downstairs as a laptop (tent mode) to watch the news or the footie. Some distinct creaking has just become apparent upon adjusting the screen angle / closing it, and having removed the iPearl mCover clip-on protective polycarbonate case that usually lives on it (hoping that might be the source of the noise) the creaking persists. It’s fairly consistent, each time time i open, close or adjust the angle of the screen, but it and also seems to occur when i handle it, holding the base. It’s quite disconcerting, and i very much hope it isn’t a sign of more trouble to come; aside from this it’s quite annoying. I understand that the ribbon cables that connect to the display go through the hinge/s, but haven’t yet (fingers crossed) experienced issues with the display. I’m neither very confident in repairing this sort of tech, nor do i have much in the way of financial means, so i very much hope that some of you more experienced Pixelbook users / repairers might be able to shed light on this issue, in the hope that i can find a remedy. Many thanks in advance.
Sebastian

Google Pixelbook: How to troubleshoot and fix Hall sensor: not sleep on lid close

Hi, my Pixelbook is not sleeping on lid close. I am pretty sure that the battery mode is set correctly in the OS.

I very much suspect it to be the Hall effect sensor hardware failure. Because when I hold a magnet(like AirPod case, iPad cover, etc.) close to the right hand side of the keyboard, where the Hall effect sensor locates, the Pixelbook is not sleeping nor turning off the screen. If I do the same test on other PC/Macs, they will turn off the screen immediately.

I wonder if anybody has encountered the same issue as mine? Or has anyone got experience with troubleshooting and fixing the Hall effect sensor on notebooks?

Thanks in advance!
