GoPro Hero 3 Silver: Gopro hero 3 water damaged in salt water? help?

It may be too late but last afternoon the case cracked and some water got in, I noticed some salt forming from the water evaporating and also noticed it was getting pretty hot. I took out the battery and SD card but the SD card is broken. Now it will not turn on or charge. Again it might be too late but any ideas?

GoPro Hero 3 Silver: Micro SD card slot jammed

We use GoPros often on our snorkel trips, and have found that after about a year, the micro SD card slots start malfunctioning. There is usually a very satisfying click that your can hear and feel when you've successfully input a micro SD card into the GoPro Hero 3 Silver.

When the mechanism wears down, the click doesn't happen, and the heart breaks into tiny little pieces. You can't get the micro SD card out easily-- it feels like whatever spring mechanism is in the device has simply worn out.

How do we fix this? There's got to be a relatively simple way.

GoPro Hero 3 Silver: Automatically Shuts Off After A Few Minutes

My GoPro Hero 3 either doesn't turn on or it automatically shuts off after a few seconds or minutes. At first I thought that the battery had an issue so I bought two more batteries and made sure that they were all fully charged, and when I tried each of them the GoPro still it doesn't stay on. All other functions work without a hitch.

Hi everyone,

A few months earlier, I got my Gopro immerged into pool water. I didn't see it immediately, but around 2 weeks later, when I tried to turn it on, I couldn't : no reaction from the camera, the screen kept off and I had no LED indicator.

However, the camera works finely when alimented by USB cable... The problem is not coming from my batterieS : I tested 3 different ones.

I'm suspecting a disease somewhere on the motherboard between the battery connector and one of the component because as I said, the camera has no problem on USB. How can I repair it to make it work again on battery ?

Hello, I am a guide on the river and we were out playing and swimming and I found a GoPro at the bottom of the river. It worked for about 3 months then I took it snowboarding and it just shut off. I tried to charge it and it won't charge. I bought a new batter and it won't turn on or charge still. Also the charging cord gets really hot when I try to charge it. GoPro won't fix it because I didn't buy it and I found it.

When I charge my battery for my Gopro Hero 3 and plug it into the go pro- it will turn right on and work great. Once I turn it off it won't turn back on and the Gopro gets Hot. Not sure what the issue is

Sometimes it will turn on but most of the time it won't....charge battery ...may turn on once or twice....but not always....wasn't used for a long time ,could it just be a bad battery.....so frustrating when you need it to work....

When I turn my camera on sometimes the whole screen will flash black while I'm holding down the button to turn it on. Then it will only take one picture in any mode and then it will beep to say it's going to take another picture but then the red light never flashes or the second beep is never heard. I have tried doing software updates and restarting the camera.
