My settings screen has a thick white line through the middle of the screen. The settings text is upside down and also reversed. Can this be repaired.

GoPro Hero 3Plus Silver Edition: Gopro freezes when pressing record button

my gopro hero 3+ silver works fine, I can navigate through menus, look through LCD bakpak but when I go to take a video or picture (regardless of quality) the entire camera freezes and sometimes the LCD goes black. I was using a lexar 633x card and bought a sandisk extreme card and it hasnt helped. Also have updated to latest firmware as well as tried to downgrade back to 2.0 and neither helped. Im thinking it is the Image Sensor as everyone is saying, however I dont want to drop $17 after shipping on something that isnt the problem. does anyone know what might be wrong?

Occasionally my GoPro will stop recording in the middle of a shot. I often don't know which videos stopped recording until later when I go through the footage. Is there anything I can do so that the recording doesn't stop?

When I film a clip longer than 10-11 minutes, the go pro will create multiple files instead of continuing to record to the same file. Is this normal/can it be changed?

My orginal battery for my Hero 3 Silver is nearly dead, so I am planning to buy a replacement ones from net. They do offer with higher amper and voltage, if I use those, would they damage my gopro? I guess same will occur for my Hero 5 soon too. I do really appreciate your answers, thank you very much in advance.

My GoPro no longer seems to be holding date/time.

I'm assuming this is due to the motherboard battery?

If so, is that replaceable? If so, what type of battery and are there online instructions?

I've seen the Hero 3 tear down page, so I know it has a soldered on motherboard battery but even that teardown does not remove/call out the onboard battery type and removal/replacement.

GoPro Hero 3Plus Silver Edition: Rattling sound inside my Go Pro, is there a way to fix this?

I have had my Go Pro for about 2 years now, I last used it in August and took photo/videos off it from a holiday. Since then it has not been used but when I tried to switch it on, it won't.

I have tried various solution problems but none seem to work. I can hear within the Go Pro a small rattling sound like something has came loose. I have phoned Go Pro support and explained the problem and their solution is, to give me 20% off a new camera.

This is not an option for me when this could be a simple repair and I am not willing to pay £350 for a new camera, for me to send my current camera to them, and to perform a quick refurb and then sell my camera.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I did not have the correct cable, found a wall charger with the usb plug, connected it then noticed it was rated at 14 volts, now it does nothing, found another cable and connected it to a laptop and still does not power up, removed the battery and still no red light and no function. Does anyone know what circuit board needs replaced? And does ifixit.com offer the parts?

I'm trying to replace the USB charging port. I can see that the plastic post inside the connector has broken off and is no longer in the GoPro. The connector is soldered directly to the board with SMT (Surface Mounted Technology) style solder joints. How do I replace that connector?
