GoPro Hero4 Silver: My rear LCD screen is not working all of a sudden

Good day!

My Gopro hero 4 silver lcd screen won't turn on. I've tried the troubleshooting instructions in Gopro official site like: turning on the display in setting options, ''reset default camera", and update the camera online using my laptop; the update was a success but i still have the LCD screen problem. My Gopro hero 4 silver was perfectly fine the last time I used it 2 months ago and when I turned it on now, the LCD screen won't turn on anymore. Please help guys! Thanks!

GoPro Hero4 Silver: Saltwater drop / Rear LCD not working

Hi all,

I recently had my GoPro in saltwater as I hadn't realised/checked that the wrong back door was on. I had imediatly took the battery out and later washed with fresh water and placed in a bag of rice.

My problem now is that the rear touch LCD does no longer have any brightness. What I mean is in low light I can see the screen i.e in doors at night. Outdoors I cannot see the screen hardly and if I go into the brightness settings and select medium or high nothing happens. As far as I can tell everything else works.

Can anyone suggest what I can do to get the brightness working again?

Cheers

GoPro Hero4 Silver: Touchscreen touch works but no display

The rear touch screen/display doesn't display anything, but the touch functions still work. Is there a separate connector for the actual video display versus touch screen functions? I saw on a tear down video 2 ribbon connectors for the GoPro 4 Silver. I wonder if one of them has become disconnected.

GoPro Hero4 Silver: Image sensor replacement fixed freezing but now back Lcd won't work!

My Gopro Hero 4 was freezing after about 10-15 seconds and wouldn't show anything but a black image on the LCD. ( I could go through settings and everything just had black image. So I replaced the image sensor and it quite freezing and takes video if I use front screen, but the back LCD appears to be receiving no power because it won't even light up now. Does anyone have any ideas of the possible problem? I checked the 3 power supply ribbons and they seem to be in place.

GoPro Hero4 Silver: Battery door screws popped out.

My GP hero4 has a little issue. The battery door ha two tiny screws in it which mean to hold the door on its place. These screws popped out and the plastic lid of the door has fallen off the cameras' body. There is no sign of external damage whatsoever.

I was wondering whether this problem could be solved somehow as in the repair shop where I took it told that they cannot repair it.

Many Thanks,

GoPro Hero4 Silver: GoPro Hero 4 Silver only displays "HERO 4" on front screen...

Hero 4 Silver only displays "HERO 4" on front screen and shows no other functionality besides occasionally showing the red LED when powering up to the "HERO 4" front screen.

The rear screen does not come on. I have tried to do a hard reset by removing the battery, holding the power and shutter button for 10 seconds, and re-applying power while still holding the buttons until it powers on. I always end up at the same screen.

GoPro's PC software does not recognize the GoPro to do an automatic software update, and I have tried to do a manual update using the SD card with the "UPDATE" folder, but it still just sits at the "HERO 4" screen.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Accidentally had the open back on my new Hero4 Silver edition camera. Quickly as I could, I rinsed it off with fresh water. Later put it in rice with the battery and sd card removed for a day and half. Most of the camera functions seem to be back, except it won't use the SD cards, keeps coming up with an SD card error.
