while diving the housing leaked water. After the dive I dried ti out and changed battery, back screen, and SD card. Since then when tried to power it on the red LED above the back screen connection port flashed. the LED screen on the front displayed worked. since then I get nothing. Is there a repair guide online where I can get some clue about where ti=o start? Is there some tech support for this issue, GoPro seemed to be no help?

I've got a very specific question, even gopro could not help me out. Maybe somebody can...

The serial number on the back of the motherboard is the serial number of the camera ?

Or is it the serial number of the motherboard itself ?

Does it match the serial number in the battery compartment ?

Or is it a different number ?

Logic says, the motherboard should have a different serial number of course. (Like the lense has a unique serial number.)

However, the serial number on the motherboard has the exact same format like the camera has. And that's not logic at all... (For example the serial number of the lense has a completly different format).

My point is, could I identify, if somebody would steal my motherboard and gave me back a another one. I had to have serviced my cam. It couldn't read the SD card, but it was working and I got it back completly dead. And they said they can't fix it...

What do you think ?

My Gopro will only occasionally switch on but mainly won't switch on at all. Nothing to do with the battery as it works on the other Gopros that I have and vice versa.

I purchased my hero 3 with wifi several years ago. I haven't really used it because every time i try to set it up the wifi doesnt work. I have gone on line with go pro several times, I have the correct updates, all set up was done correctly. the wifi doesnt work. In stead of buying a new one (i never even got the chance to use the one i have) I want to get this one fixed. I have no clue how to do that. i would like to send it to some where pay them some money and have them send it back, turn it on and see it working.

Hero 3+ Black have problem recording, white image and color noise, but sometimes I can record well and images is ok, is this problem is about video cpu or could be lens ccd image sensor, if I record in another good one image in attached display is perfect.

I have a hero3+ that has not had any sound on any of the down loads since aprox the second down load even if i play back on an I phone orconected directly to the TV via hdmi is this a possible setting issue or do I have a defective mic.

I want to know where the IR filter is in my GoPro Hero 3 so I can remove it and make my GoPro a full spectrum GoPro. I've taken apart my GoPro and the lens but could not identify the IR filter. Usually its right on top of the lens when you unscrew it. Any info would be helpful.
