GoPro HERO3 White: SD Card/SD Slot possibly Burning.

Hi

I wonder if you could help.

I have a GoPro Hero 3 white edition. I’ve had this for 3 years and its been great.

However tonight I was at my band practice filming like I normally do. I noticed that the front screen was stuck on 1min 54secs recording and wouldn’t stop. I then took out of the plastic case and noticed it was really hot. I took the battery out for a couple of seconds then put it back in. The camera powered up fine, but it said no SD card.

So I went to take the SD Card out and it actually burned my finger. I noticed that there was like a TCP smell on the SD Card and in the SD slot.

I’ve since waited about 2 hrs before turning the camera on. After 2 hrs I powered it on a almost instantly the SD card/slot gets seriously hot! I’m quite worried as I don’t want it to catch fire.

The Gopro has worked brilliant over the 3 years i’ve had it. I don’t know what would be best to do?

Can you help please?

GoPro HERO3 White: Improving image sensor in GoPro Hero3

Hello,

I'm new here.

I was just wondering if I could improve the image sensor of my GoPro Hero3 'cause when filming at low light moments when I check it on the computer appears a lot of noise and also some type of light stripes that I understand are from the image sensor.

So I've done some internet search, and all what I've found is to replace the image sensor for another of the same type. Nobody knows if it's possible to change for a better one with more less same characteristics?

Thank you!
