Power board apparently inseparable from motherboard and a new power board will cost more than entire laptop. I was told similar for my imac laptop. I bought a new mac power board and replaced it with ifixit's great assistance and it worked fine for years.

Are they just trying to get me to buy a new computer rather than replacing the power board?

Is the power board separate from the motherboard and replaceable?

Is there a guide for that?

Where does the electricity track through to backtrack problem? E.g. battery etc.

They look like rivets or some kind of stamped screws and I don't know how to remove them.

im not sure what caused this or where to get that replacement part... seems easy to remove, its only got 2 welds.

would anyone have an idea what component is?

where i can get a replacement?

if theres a market for the rest of the laptop, it ran 1 year and had been sitting in its box for 2 years
