Gigabyte Aero Laptops: Gigabyte aero 17 inch diagnosed power board problem

Told charger has a problem and the power board is getting intermittent electricity but they can't pinpoint problem. Power board apparently inseparable from motherboard and a new power board will cost more than entire laptop. I was told similar for my imac laptop. I bought a new mac power board and replaced it with ifixit's great assistance and it worked fine for years.

Are they just trying to get me to buy a new computer rather than replacing the power board?

Is the power board separate from the motherboard and replaceable?

Gigabyte: I can't find a specific HDD flex cable for my laptop

Hello.

Last year I purchased a Gigabyte Aorus 15 x9 laptop with the Intel i7-8750H and the Nvidia RTX 2070. I noticed there are a few different models of this laptop and mine was the slightly cheaper one as it came without the internal SATA hard drive, just the 512GB m.2 system drive. I want to buy a 2tb 2.5" SATA barracuda drive like the more expensive model but I need a specific flex cable to connect the drive. After disassembling the back panel, I've noticed the space where the drive will fit but I don't have the flex cable. I've searched all over the internet for one specific to my Aorus but no luck. Could you possibly help me out and source me the right flex cable? I have a picture of somebody else's Aorus 15 x9 with the cable and drive (the cable I need is circled in red). Please find this picture attached.

Gigabyte: Black screen with vertical lines

Hi there!

So I recently purchased a Gigabyte G5KD laptop (i5-11400H / RTX X3060P) - it’s just over a month old.

I was watching Netflix in bed last night and all of a sudden the screen started rolling blurred grey streaks across it, then went black with nothing but these vertical lines appearing.

As you can see I plugged it into my monitor and it works fine, but the laptop display itself seems to be buggered. I tried resetting the graphics card but sadly I’m starting to think it’s a hardware issue - which is a crying shame considering how new it is.

Any clue what it could be? Is there anything I should do before I start considering taking it to get repaired?

Thanks
