Gateway NV52: Why won't my laptop turn on?

I am having a hard time turning my laptop on recently. I have tried multiple times to power my laptop by simply pressing but also holding down the power button. I have also attempted to take out the battery and leave it out for a period of time but nothing seems to work.

My laptop is being unusually slow but I have no idea why. I've been running an Anti-Virus protection without any problems. I also make sure it is updating automatically. It just started recently and never had problems before. I've gotten no reports on any threats to my computer. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

I’ve had the laptop for over 5years and I’ve never had an issue with it before. I was in the middle of using my laptop when it shut down. I thought my battery just died so charged it right away and when I pressed the power button, it didn’t turn on at all like it normally does when it’s on the charger. I’ve tried letting it charge for 30mins and turning it back on but still got nothing. I’ve Had the charger on (with the battery out) and it’s still not turning on. I’ve also tried taking out the battery and the charger and holding down the power button for 15secs before putting the charger back on and still, my laptop will not turn on. Please help?

Gateway NV52: My computer gets really hot and loud?

Ok, so i have a NV52 laptop. Whenever I use it, it gets really hot, the charger also gets hot, and it really hurts if I touch it. It also gets very loud, if i'm watching a movie or something, I can barely hear anything they say, because of the loud noise my computer makes. I cleaned the fan inside once and it was quiet for few days, but then it started again. I tried cleaning the fan again, and it didn't work. I always put my computer on hard surface, never on my lap or a pillow or anything like that. What do I do?

at first its wont turn on at all, I opened it, put it back together, now its turn on but not the screen, and once the screen was getting very hot, I have turn it off and power back on again, and the screen still not come on

Gateway NV52: Lap top will not boot up

After the initial Gateway screen goes off, the screen is very dim and a flashing "hyphen " is in the far upper left hand corner. Nothing else happens.

I can't figure this out, it only happens every once in a while and sometimes if it goes to sleep I can't get the display back up.

I've tried taking out the battery, and disconnecting it and holding the power button

I've taken out the two ram cards and cleaned them

I've tried booting with one ram card and swapping their locations

I've also tried connecting to an external monitor, still nothing...

This is the only site I have found with detailed instructions on this model of Gateway laptop

Please help...
