Gateway MA6 Laptop: Why does my computer shut off every time I unplug it?

Every time that i unplug my computer, it immediately turns off and will only power back on after being plugged in.

My computer quickly overheats under normal usage, and prompts me to turn the computer off until it cools down.

I’m connected to my internet it just won’t let me search . when I do search it sends me to error page so I can’t search anything
