Gateway Lt4004u: Why is my laptop not holding a charge?

At first my laptop was lasting hours without needing a recharge but recently the battery requires constant charging. I cant utilize the mobility of this device and I am forced to be plugged into a wall. Please let me know how to fix my problem!

I tried to turn on my Gateway Laptop, But it doesn’t turn on. Instead, the Power light flashes 5 times, and then stops. Is there a possible fix?

Why wont my laptop screen turn on, the blue light turns on but not the screen? I can hear the program running but i still not turning on please help!!

Gateway Lt4004u: Turns on but no video or boot audio.

Just got given one of these laptops. It turns on but it has a black screen and there's no video out of the VGA or HDMI port. I don't hear OS sounds either. Took it apart already and nothing is visibly wrong. Reseated RAM.
