I have a broken digitizer on my Garmin Nuvi and when I follow the disassembly guide, I can't figure out how to separate the digitizer from the LCD Screen. There aren't any screws, so how would I remove it? Can I even remove it?

I have my Garmin hooked up in my car but it won't turn on. I tried pressing the power button multiple times and unplugging it but it still won't work. How can I get it to turn on again?

Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT: Is the iFixit battery correct in the Nuvi 2595LMT replacement guide?

I have looked at the guide and the battery used. The battery (Item # IF432-006-1) linked in guide does not have this 2595LMT listed and a comment recommended another supplier for the "correct" battery. I prefer doing business with iFixIt - please confirm

Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT: GPS not turing on

Hello.

My Nuvi 2595LMT will not turn on. I suspect the fan, since when i put my ear, close to the fan, i can’t hear it spinn. Just a “bussing” sound. When connect the USB to the car or computer, it says on the screen: GARMIN - loading maps and then turn of.

Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT: My screen lights up, but no maps or writing shows up.

I replaced the battery and in the process, the ribbon wire to the screen came out. I got it back in, but now the screen lights up, but there are no maps or any writing on the screen, it’s just a bright screen. It worked fine before replacing the battery. Is there a repair shop in the Las Vegas, NV area or do you do repairs?

Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT: Last step re-attach screen how do I lock the flat flex cable in place?

I’ve already made repairs to other parts of the device. I’m in the re-assembly phase of repair. The stupid flexible flat cable connector fights me, I can get the cable in and aligned

I push the door down and the cable is pushed out. I push the cable in and the door pops up. I don’t know the terminology to explain what kind of flex cable connector it is, but it clearly has “teeth” marks that don’t pierce the cable but even and consistent marks.

I’ve checked out all of Taylor DeWitt’s guides they all do give good information the primary objective, but none of them explain why the port on this particular device is such a pain in the …. to get it to not push the cable back out when closing the door.

EDIT: Got the cable in, Used my thumb to constrain it to the case/MB then with my pointer finger reach in and push the door closed.

The front of my GPS turned black and white over 3/4 of the face. I can not clear it to bring up maps and directions. What can I do to remedy this?
