I have replaced the battery and still have the same Issue

Unit is suddenly dead. Will not charge from any source.

Have ordered a new battery, but, is there a way to tell if it is not the battery but the ON/Off switch?

the plug, (socket) on back is faulty i think, because the cable wont plug in securely so gps keeps coming on and off, power.

When I'm trying to enter an address, the right side of the keyboard is off by one key (e.g. J becomes k). Lately, the only thing that works is "Go Home." Will replacing the screen correct this?

I bought a second hand Garmin Nuvi 255W. It seems to be working, but I can't get past the pin code request. (I'm assuming whoever owned it before me would have the code, but I have no idea who that might be.) I have tried the hard reboot, but it still wants the code. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

As soon I touch the screen anywhere upper. it hit only the lower part.

I did a software update since this it stays like that.

Could not start the calibration at all.

Software 7.8

I bought a second 255W with the software 6.0 to get a backup.

But somehow it won`t work via gamin express to install older software.

hello guys? i accidentally delete my garmin maps on my device, and i have try every thing to get it back but just cant,i went to the web site and update the software but still not getting a thing,it just keep saying NO DETAILED MAPS FOUND THAT SUPPORT ROUTING, THE NUVI CANNOT BE USED WITHOUT THEM, so if you can help me much appreciate.

Garmin Nuvi 255W: Auto Day & Night

I have a Garmin nuvi 255w

When I have my display set to auto during the day it is still Dark (Night setting).

More than likely this would be the photoelectric cell that would allow it to change from dark and light.

Where could I find this or do you have any other suggestions?

Why am I getting this, No Detail maps found thar support routing. The Nubia cannot be used without them.
