Garmin Nuvi 200: nuvi 200 stopped locating satellites.

Worked fine, then: searching for satellites forever. Everything else is working. Updated software, chipset, downloaded new maps, reset it dozen times, put it outside away from buildings for a day and it is still somewhere in Kansas.

Any help?

Garmin Nuvi 200: broken usb micro connector

The micro usb socket on the nuvi 200 is a weak point and I am not the only one to experience it breaking off after a year or two of cable flexing and insertions. Has anyone ever replaced one of these?

An alternative solution (for me) would be to transfer the component that has the serial number stored in it from my broken device to the mother board of a 2nd hand salvaged board with a different serial number. My precious expensive maps are tied to the serial number on the broken motherboard. Anyone done this?

Garmin Nuvi 200: Have you ever had the plug on the unit become loose?

The connector on the inside of my unit is loose, and disrupts the power to the unit, so it turns off. Have you ever had to "fix" this issue?? I'm not sure if it is just a solder joint that broke, or something else. The unit is no longer support by Garmin, so I'm going to look at it on my own.

Just looking for additional input.
