Galaxy Tab S6: Is the Display and Glass Separate?

In other words, if the screen is cracked but the display and touch are still good, would I be able to just replace the glass? I know on some devices there was space between the display and glass so you could just replace the glass. Is this true with the Galaxy?

My S6 Lite developed a charging issue after a few months. It would respond to the cable plugging in but the battery charge would not increase. Nor did it decrease as long as plugged in. I could use the table for hours at 5% charge while plugged in.

Swapping cables and chargers, cleaning the port made no difference, it always recognizes that it’s plugged in but shows zero amps of actual charge current going to the battery. I worked through some steps with Samsung support and it seems that it’s probably a faulty charge controller inside. . I sent it to the Samsung repair center under warranty but they rejected it as the indicator has changed. I live on a tropical coast and it’s 99.9% humidity in rainy season. But tablets and laptops do fine for years and years. Problem is that the humidity trips the indicator and then there’s no warranty service as the company considers the indicator to be 100% accurate, so it must be water damage is their contention.

Two questions:

1) how do we get these companies to realize that their indicators are not 100% accurate and that they are losing customer due to bad service based on indicators. I, for one, will never buy Samsung again due to refusal to repair using indicator as reason.

2) How can I repair this S6lite with a failed charge controller?

Ok, so I managed to swap the battery, but now I would like to know, where this magnet belongs to.

Not to duplicate things I also posted this on Reddit in the r/ifix sub. I also have some images, if a guide is going to be written , although I am very limited with my time. The images are available here on the onedrive link.

I eventually placed the magnet on the bottom right side. Haven't tested, 'cause I left the glue to dry on the tablet. I'll post the test review on the iFixit post I created for that question.

Samsung galaxy Tab S6 bought last year February. I left if to charge and it was 100% charged and suddenly white and black strips covered half of the screen. And then I unlocked it and display suddenly started getting darker. They say it takes 500$ to replace the display with a original but it has been only 4months after warranty

In short: Bought a used Tab S6 and the screen recognize my fingers flawlessly, but it won't recognize my Spen

Things I've tried already:

Going into settings and changing stuff, did nothing
Factory reset, nothing
Try another spen, nothing
Try the spen on other Samsung devices, works like a charm with both writing and button usage

Returning the tablet is not an option so I would like to know if I can fix this or just accept that it will not work with the spen

It is to note that the screen is kinda badly glued into the device so maybe they changed the screen and didn't connect the ribbons correctly? Or the screen they installed just doesn't work with the spen?

So the screen I know for sure is not working. I’m not sure about the power to the device but I have notes on the tablet I need to retrieve. Is there anyway to repair the screen at a reasonable price? Last quote I received from Best Buy geek squad put me at the cost of a new tablet.

So my screen is comming loose from the body, likely because the battery is swollen. I would like to replace the battery, but cannot seem to find the adhesive strips anywhere. Everyhing I find online it's just for the S6 phone, but not the S6 Tab. Any ideas where to find the adhesive strips?

The outer glass is fine, but the actual display is cracked and completely cooked; the tablet vibrates, but nothing on the screen shows up. The only display replacement I found was $335, surely there has to be a more affordable option?

Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy tab s4 that is unresponsive it won't turn on or show that it is charging I have tried pressing and holding volume down and home to no avail however a couple days ago it did turn on and boot up for about 10-15 seconds and then turned right back off until last night when I pressed and held the power button amd once again it turned on for about the same time and will not turn back on does anyone know what the cause of this problem is?

My S6 got hit with a dog foot while it was on my lap. Now it comes on, does not light up, but the alarm goes off and th screen flickers jut not coming on. I poked around and was able to turn off the alarm

Galaxy Tab S6: Why is my tablet not charging or turning on

My tablet is not showing the charging sign and will not power on it also vibrates and lights up for a second when I press the power button. I tried rebooting it by holding down the power and the volume up button but it just vibrates. Is my tablet completely destroyed or is there something I can do?

Hi, I have a galaxy tab s6 lite. My sibling spilled water to tablet and it started to heat around the top of the tablet. Screen works fine for 10-15 seconds and stripes appearing at screen. I turned off tablet for a while and problem is still there. Can anyone help me?

Any body know if they can be repaired? They're out of production. It will not charge if the tablet get touched. I use it for streaming and you often need to touch the screen to indicate what you need to watch. Other times it will show charging, but the power level on the battery will continue to drop.
