Galaxy S20: Battery health not improving after replacement?

Hi!

Recently I decided to replace the battery on my S20 5G, I did it using the guide here and all was good, or so I thought.

The health of the old battery according to AccuBattery was around 67%, after installing the new one I reset the cycle counter using the Samsung repair assistant app and let it cycle a couple of times from 0% to 100% to calibrate, also according to the guide here on the site.

Now, my "new", supposedly OEM, battery only showed 85% health after 2 weeks of usage. I discussed with the store I bought it from and they sent me another "new" battery, but after again resetting the cycle counter etc., and 2 weeks later even the second "new" battery is showing 81% health...

Am I doing something wrong here? Or are these batteries bad/used/fakes? I'm lost tbh...

Thanks in advance to anyone who can enlighten me!

Galaxy S20: Screen faded to black 1 hour after replacing battery and back glass

This morning I took swapped out the battery in my Galaxy S20. I used quite a bit of 91% isopropyl alcohol to pull the battery out. About an hour after the swap, while using my phone the screen suddenly went off-color and then faded to black over the span of 10 seconds, and it's been stuck black ever since. The touch screen still works and the phone still takes inputs; whatever is wrong is only affecting the display.

Galaxy S20: Where can I find the Self-Repair Assistant app?

At the end of the Samsung Galaxy S20 screen repair guide, there is a document that guides you through calibrating the new hardware on your device. The document calls for a special app, and although it states the app can be found in the Galaxy Store or on the Samsung website, I cannot find it in either location. The repair guide does have a download link, but that version of the APK seems to be outdated because attempting to open the app shows the message "Try again after getting new version" and immediately closes.

Galaxy S20: Phone responsive but black screen: Broken motherboard or display?

Hello,

I come here to ask for some advice on my water damaged galaxy s20.

Back Story:

I was changing the battery on my phone and as was suggested in the iFixit guide, I applied alcohol to the battery area to loosen the adhesive. Unfortunately, I didn't read the label and ended up putting alcohol that only had about 40% alcohol. This caused me to unknowingly damage the phone.

Once I finished the install I turned the phone on and initially, everything worked fine. I went to turn on the camera and I was told camera failure and was sent back to the home screen. After half a minute or so the screen went black. I tried for a little longer to hard reset the phone until I decided to quickly take apart the phone again, unplug the battery and look for the problem.

After taking the phone fully apart I discovered some liquid in the sd card area. I dried it as much as I could and put everything into a bag with desiccant overnight. This morning I reassembled it and tried to turn it on but still the same problem. I then took the phone even further apart and found that the humidity indicator near the bottom of the phone also was pink (though I never saw liquid there myself). I also cleaned all the electronics with contact spray (made for electronics) and scrubbed with a toothbrush.

Problem:

Phone turns on, vibrates, makes noise, charges, takes touch input BUT fully black screen.

I don't know wether my motherboard or display is broken (or both!)?

Replacing the motherboard is not hard and not nearly as expensive as replacing the display but I also don't want to get a replacement motherboard only for the display to remain black...

Galaxy S20: Replaced the charging port now a few things don't work

Hello everyone I'm hoping for some help. I had an issue with my charging port on my phone a whole back so I called around to see about having someone fix it ans I was quoted $150 I'm on a fixed income and no way could I afford that but I did a lot of research to see about replacing it on my own.

I bought the part and it was a simple fix phone charged again but now I have other issues.

It doesn't wireless charge anymore it starts to charge then about a minute in it stops

My wifi will not turn on I have made sure time zone ans time and date were correct, and when I go to turn on wifi it shuts right off

Now I'm noting my speakerphone and microphone don't work

I've tried everything but a reset because I cannot lost the information on my phone.

I was told I need to replace the main flex cable and the wireless charging coil so I ordered the replacement parts but haven't gotten them yet.

The flex cable is the thin one that said main and it was in bad shape.

Is there something else wrong with my phone if those replacement parts don't work? I really cannot afford $100s of dollars to replace a 4 year old phone. Unable to upgrade at the moment either but I need my phone working .

Thank u for any help

I have two phones:

Phone A [Galaxy S20 (G980F D/S)] where most likely the motherboard + charging board need to be replaced (damaged during port cleaning, phone wont charge through wired nor wireless, quickly displays message saying phone gets too hot. Very rarely it will charge and then works fine for a while. Changing out the charging board did not fix the issue)

Phone B [Galaxy S20 5G (G981B/DS)] with a cracked screen and back glass
