Dell G3 15 3590: Hinge mounting points on display are broken.

I own a Dell G3 15 3590 Laptop purchased in January 2020 with 1 year warranty. The right hinge however has fallen apart. Well, the plastic holding the screws that secured hinge to the display has fallen apart.

After speaking with dell the warranty does not cover “Cosmetic” issues like that apparently.

I am not inexperienced in personal electronics repair and I am able to replace the whole display but, y'know. If I can get away with just using the current display now rather than ordering a new display I'd prefer to do that.

Dell G3 3579: Motherboard Short circuit or Failure?

I have been recently having a lot of issues with my Dell G3 3579

This time while i was restarting my GPU driver using Ctrl+Shift+Alt+B my laptop froze up, i could hear the music still in the background but the screen went black, so i shut it down by holding the power button,

However after that my laptop has never turned on, i have done hard reset, cleared the cmos by removing the 2032 battery and completely replaced it, reseated the charging port, reseated the memory and the SSD and 2.5 drive and i only see a faint split second led flash when trying to turn it on sometimes on battery power, disconnecting the battery or trying to turn it on on plugged in does nothing, not even that split second led, i have taken a look at the mobo itself and i do not see any bad or blown components, i have also measured parts of the Motherboard circuit with a multi meter and there is power going to proper places.

The laptop is also not in warranty and i am not in the US for better parts service.

Dell G15-5511 Gaming: When moving my laptop around, the screen glitches and freezes.

I have this issue mostly when i pick up my laptop too fast with one hand or when i keep it on my lap.

The screen glitches (shows pink and green pixels in random spots) then freezes, or if it doesnt freeze, it shows a blue screen with no error indication.

This is not a software issue 100%, i have reinstall windows twice and problem persists.

Please advice what to do

Dell G3 15 3590: Replacing a modular USB component on motherboard

Hi there,

First time posting so apologies for any errors.

I recently purchased one of these laptops second-hand because I'm going on holiday soon and up until now I didn't have a functional laptop. It was in good quality for a fair price, save for one problem: the two USB ports on the right-hand side of the laptop are non-functional.

This isn't a major problem since I have a USB hub I can use but I decided to open the laptop up to see if there was anything I could do about it. I have novice-level experience with repairing laptops so I hoped I could spot any obvious errors. I didn't have any luck with repairing the USBs but I did notice that the section of the motherboard they are connected to appears to be modular:

I am confident in my ability to replace it but the problem is I have no idea what this part is called, let alone where I would begin looking for a replacement (or if it's even modular at all). Does anyone know what this part is?

Dell G15-5511 Gaming: The laptop randomly wouldn't turn on

In the morning I was gaming on the laptop everything was fine the temps were a bit too high but anyways after I finished I disconnected the charger from the laptop and closed the power outlit (Note: I have two extention cable connected to each other since they are too short) after some time at arround midnight I go back to turn on the laptop I get nothing not even a single light I tried charging it with different wall outlit but still not even getting a single light from the laptop. I can tell the charger is working I even tried a hard reset still nothing. Something I forgot to add is that I allways leave the keyboard and mouse plugged in to the laptop

I poured beer into my laptop. After awhile, the screen died but the laptop is still running. Then the whole thing turned off. I can no longer turn on my laptop. Is this still repairable?

Dell G7 7790: How can I change the LCD display on the G7 7790 specifically.

There are a lot of tutorials for changing LCD displays, but this model in particular is difficult. There are no screws around the inner bevel, but the display won’t come out of the shell once I have the outer bevel cover removed. I’ve tried heating the outer shell with a heat gun to the point where it’s uncomfortably hot but I still can’t it to pop out.

Dell G5 5590: My laptop crash and restart randomly

I don’t have the same exact Model G5 5590, I got G5 5505 model, since I brought it I have had a black screen and a random shutdown then restart problem with my laptop. It happens often but some days I be playing games without having any trouble shouting for hours. It all takes one crash and boom. I took it to BestBuy which from where I brought it, they run hardware and software tests, and they found no errors, they couldn’t help much with that as they told me.
I upgraded my RAM from 8gbs to 16gbs and I thought it may be the problem solver, but it’s the same problem, games crash and laptop restart.
I checked on the drivers and everything, still the same problem, I know there is a solution for this, maybe I didn’t know how to fix it.
Is there anything you can help with? Have you ever had problems like this and got solved?
