Garmin nuvi 2557LMT: Why does my device not turn on unless it's plugged in

It’s actually a Garmin nuvi 2995 but that isn’t listed.

It will only turn on when plugged into the car, my PC or a USB charger, then it works OK.

I’ve left it plugged into a USB charger for over an hour, but it still won’t turn on unless it’s plugged in.

Can anyone suggest a fix ?

Hello, I have a Garmin Nuvi 65 LM. Recently I noticed that when I am going to an address after about a couple of minutes the screen switches from map view to turn by turrn directions. I have tried rebooting, updating maps and software and have looked through all of the settings. Is there any chance of fixing this or is the GPS toast?

Garmin Nuvi 680: How do I reconnect my ribbon cable to its connector?

While changing the battery on my Garmin Nuvi 680, the most internal cable disconnected from its connector and I don't know if the connector lifts vertically, slides out or is soldered to the motherboard. Beyond that, I don't know how to reattach the cable.

Garmin Edge 530: Device keeps going to sleep

I've had my Garmin 530 for 2 years though I haven't ridden as much as usual. Recently when I start the timer at the beginning of a ride, within about 20 seconds I get the message "going to sleep in 3, 2, 1" and it goes to sleep. It's still recording data but I need to be able to keep my screen on so I can see average speed, etc. (I lead rides for a bike club) I have tried to trouble shoot this but can't seem to find an answer. I wondered if I went back to default settings? Any ideas?

TomTom GPS: TomTom Go 620 (AU Model) Battery Dead?

Hi,

My TomTom Go 620 Aussie model is about 2 years old and the battery is dead, so therefore I need to replace the battery. I have found the battery replacement video on YT for this model, but it’s the US model which has a couple of screws at the back of the GPS to be screwed out. On my Aussie model, there are no visible screws that I can find anywhere? The only thing I can find is what looks like a pry slot on the bottom of the GPS between the screen and the main body. Any help or ideas would be appreciated?

Hi, i have an issue with Garmin Edge 830; the problem is that the device cant connect to the phone and the official statemenet from Garmin was that the bluetooth sensor is not working. Is there a way to repair it? i guess it is soldered on the motherboard, meaning i should change the whole motherboard?⏎

Garmin is silly. My ZUMO XT GPS battery went bad. They say I have to send it back. F' that. I want to fix it on my own...or with your help. Battery# 361-00077-00 is what Batteries Plus said I should buy, however, the connector is part of the problem. Anyone have experience in this world?

Garmin Nuvi 200: nuvi 200 stopped locating satellites.

Worked fine, then: searching for satellites forever. Everything else is working. Updated software, chipset, downloaded new maps, reset it dozen times, put it outside away from buildings for a day and it is still somewhere in Kansas.

Any help?
