Washing machine is making this weird sound during spin cycle and then when venting it’s like a low rattle. Anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance.

GE Washing Machine: Why do I keep getting Mode Shift Circuit error codes?

After running a load or two, the washer quits working and gives the 4 flash Mode Shift Circuit Fail code. I re-set the washer and it runs fine until another 4 flash code comes up, and I re-set it again. What's up? GE model WBSR3140G0WW. Two loads of clothes run fine. Then on the third the washer will not do the final spin. The Fault LED blinks four times in sequence. According to the fault code chart, this is "Mode Shift Circuit Fail". I perform the re-set procedure and it will run fine for another two loads. I don't see anything else wrong.

GE Washing Machine: GE GTW485 Washer Not Draining

I've looked all over online and most places are saying it's either a kink in the hose, a clog, or a bad pump. I've checked the hose and pump and there are no clogs and the pump spins freely when removed.

Big problem I'm having is getting water out of the washer. I've tried connecting a wet/dry vac to the hose and various connectors and can't get the water out. It appears there is a purple plug on the bottom of the tub, but I can't get it to budge.

If I can at least get the water out I can maybe do some more digging into the drain issue, but it's just sitting with gallons of water sloshing about making everything difficult.
