GE Refrigerator GFSS6KKY: Refrigerator slow to cool, freezer not freezing

GE® ENERGY STAR® 25.9 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator with Icemaker

model GFSS6KKYCSS

reference GE Technical Service Guide (March 2008) 31-9162

Initally panel diplayed a Pantry Damper Heater Error R-10-A: Damper Heater open/wire error. The damper assembly wires were corroded and broken. I replaced the damper assembly with a new part which corrected the error. There are no additional error codes on the panel display.

Fresh food compartment is slow to cool, several hours to cool to 60 degF. Freezer compartment does not cool, stays at ambient 80 degF.

Compressor is running, condenser fan is running, freezer evaporator fans are running, condenser coils are clean and free of dust and debris.

The refridgerant circuit diagram shows the flow through the refridgerator evaporator coil before the freezer evaporator, there doesn't appear to be a spider valve in this appliance. I haven't run it for more than the hours to arrive at 60 degF.

Thoughts?
