Fujitsu Celsius H730: Faulty battery extraction switches: how to extract battery?

Good morning fellow fixers,

I have a very specific problem on my Fujitsu Celsius H730.

I was interested in removing the battery to perform thermal paste substitution and cleaning of the internals, but it seems like I am stuck now. ⏎

Basically, one of the switches of the battery removal mechanism, in particular the one indicated with the number 2 on the manual, appears to be incomplete: only the bottom part of the mechanism is present, while the top one seems to be completely absent, comparing it with the user manual images. I tried to force the mechanism but it gets stuck at half excursion, and given that I was exerting a considerable amount of force, I preferred not going further, given the risk of breaking it.

I just wanted to ask if there is a way of removing the battery in absence of this switch; I was thinking that potentially disassembling the top of the chassis and acting on the mechanism on the inside might be a plausible solution. Unfortunately, my battery cannot be detached from the computer at this stage, so I'd have to proceed with extreme caution.

Hopefully you can see the issues in the images

I forwarded.

Thanks for your attention! Any advice would be helpful at this stage.
