Frigidaire Freezer FFFH20F3W: Frigidaire Upright Freezer Not Sealing and not getting as cold

I have a two year old upright Frigidaire LFFH20F3QW that used to make a ‘sealing’ or ‘suction’ sound when closing, it stopped doing that in the last two days quite suddenly and we noticed items are not as ‘cold’ as they used to be. There also seems to be alot more frost inside where this never had frost before. It is ‘frost free’ with no drain. What brought this to our attention was that we found a small puddle of water on the ground by the bottom right of the unit.

Frigidaire Freezer FFU20FC4AW: Frigidaire upright freezer not freezing

I removed panel inside the freezer, fan is spinning, coils are frosty but not overly frozen. Defrost thermostat and heating element appear good, did not put meter on them, since coils were merely frosty. Nothing seems to be protruding to keep the door from fully closing. Temps fluctuate between 35-50°. Where do I need to start looking?

Frigidaire Freezer FFU2067FW: Frostless Upright Freezer Has Ice Inside At Bottom

We have a Frigidaire model LFFHZ067DW2 that is not working as the red light in the front toe space is on and water frozen on the inside floor. Looks like there is solid ice at the inside back at the bottom. Unplugged the unit, opened the door and let it thaw all night. Water dripped out of the edge of the door which we left open and underneath where the condensate line exits from the back right corner as seen from the back. Took off the drain hose and found some water and a little trash like wet dust balls. Mopped up about half a gallon of water this morning wiped out and plugged in. It is now cooling and red light is off. Does this represent a defrost timer that needs to be replaced or is this the kind of maintenance that do periodically? What is the normal temp for this unit? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Frigidaire Freezer FFFH20F3W: Frigidaire FFFH20F3WW upright freezer green flashing light and beep

Hi.
I bought this freezer used/reconditioned a year ago and it worked for a while but then the green light below the door started flashing and beeping.
I opened up the inside front evaporator panel to find the whole evaporator totally frozen. I unplugged and let the freezer defrost with the door open. A day or two later I put the cover back on and plugged it back in and it worked for a day or so and then the green light started flashing and beeping once again.

I have not used this freezer since but recently decided to attempt a diy diagnosis/repair job.

I first started with the magnet and the reed switch to cycle through the freezers 4 options. With a clamp multimeter I was getting similar amp draws for the first 3 options but then then the 4th option (evaporator fan motor) I got 0 amps as my reading.

Everything at the back of the freezer seems fine. There doesn't seem to be any leaks, the condensor fan spins (when in test mode), the condensor is warm and I can hear it, no obvious damage.

So I decided to check the evaporator fan at the front. In order to access this you need to pry off the cooling tower and unplug the fan. There is also a white lead that is attached to the same wiring harness. I believe this is the thermostat/temp sensor as one end sits up behind the cooling tower and the other attaches to the top of the evaporator. ( I do not know how to check whether this is working)

Using a 9v battery, I checked the fan. It works fine.

I am about to check the defrost heater by using a multimeter on the ohms option. This will tell me whether thats working.

I have read that a good check is to find out whether the defrost thermostat is working by checking its continuity, putting it in a freezer and having it open/close etc. BUT i can't find one anywhere. All the photos I found are of a small round cased object that can often look visually broken with the top broken open. Anyway, this freezer does not have one, that I can locate!! Am I blind?!

The only other thing that I can think might not be working is the potenitometer behind the single knob that turns from cold to coldest.

I am at a loss as to what else to try/check. I'm happy to buy some repair parts but does anyone have any advice as to what my issue is?

Thanks in advance.

Frigidaire Freezer: Frigidaire freezer working part time

I got a Frigidaire from Lowe’s in 2015 and it stopped working the other day. Removed and set it on the trailer to haul off later in the week. Just for fun, I plugged it in a couple days later and it powered on. It began to run. Later that afternoon it was freezing. The next day, not working again. The light comes on inside the freezer. The little green light on the bottom exterior of the freezer comes on when it is freezing. Any ideas? 37 months is not what I expect from a $600 21cf Frigidaire

Frigidaire Freezer: Constantly Running Freezer -20 deg F

I have an Electrolux Fridigaire Freezer FFU14F5HWC. Recently the temperature got so high that it defrosted and we lost a bunch of stuff. We noticed because of water on the floor. By the time we saw the issue most of the stuff in the freezer was frozen again and it was working. I bought a temperature logger and found the temperature to be at an extreme -20 deg F. After doing some digging and trouble shooting I ordered and replaced the defrost thermostat and the thermistor (temperature sensor). The freezer ran for approximately 1 day properly and then is again at this extreme low temperature.

I am not sure what would be causing this.

Our freezer is a a Frigidaire Upright LFFH20F3QM0. The freezer "pan" is not accessible from the front, but is a curved container attached to the front side of the compressor with the only access from the rear. Compressor is easily accessible, but the container pan is on the front (!!!) side of compressor and not accessible. It does not seem to be removable and cleaning means reaching around and sopping out the gook with a rag or whatever. (The gook is stinking). Is there anyway to either (1) remove this container or (2) insert/attach a drainage hose to the bottom of the container that could be shut off except when needing to drain the container?
Frigidaire Freezer: Used Frigidaire model FFU21C3AW1 not going below 28 degrees

We bought this used upright freezer last year. It was 3 degrees when we bought it. We had it in an un-insulated garage and we had a heatwave of 120 degrees outside. We emptied it and brought it inside to try to take the stress off of the machine and replaced the seal as it was in poor shape. The highest we can get it is 28 and I can hear the compressor running constantly. My husband is an HVAC guy, so he knows a little, but is about to give up on the freezer and I want to dig a little deeper to find the problem, if possible. What would you suggest we start testing next?
