My flip video ulta 2nd generation camcorder was bumped on its side last week and a few of the buttons stopped working. mainly the up, down, left, and play buttons. I can still record and turn the device on and off. It also still works with my computer.

I attempted to open up my camcorder, thinking I could solve the problem on my own. I've seen the tutorials on how you disassemble a older version of a flip video and though it wouldn't be that different. I ran into some problems after unscrewing the two half's. The top part just won't separate as smoothly as I thought. like it's hooked or glued together on the inside. I stopped in fear of damaging my ultra more. I've looked all around the internet for a better step by step guide on how to repair flip ultra 2nd generation buttons but have found none. I've even tried going through the customer service like first but to no avail.

flip ultra HD: Why aren't the buttons working

The play, erase, and record buttons are not working on my flip camcorder. i mad a mount for the flip on my bike and right when I took it off the buttons stopped working. It is nit froxen though. It turns on and plugs into my computer fine,but those specific buttons will not work when i press them. Help!

Flip Ultra HD: The recording time went from 6o min down to 30 min how do I reset this

My device had a recording of 60 min and it was dropped a couple of times and it now only records up to 30 min how do i fix this?

Flip Ultra HD: Change battery and check connections

I found my flip camcorder from 15 years ago. I plugged it in and it did turn on and showed a picture of a battery in the red. For a brief moment, I was able to get the device to start charging. However, when I came back later to look, it said charging paused check battery connection. I plugged it into my computer to see if I could remove my recordings from it. It can’t retain enough charge in order to bring up the data. Can you help me?

Hello,

I was filming my daughters wedding with a Flip Ultra HD Model U260. Near the end of the wedding, the screen was just white. I took the batteries out and back in, would not turn on. I put in new batteries. Still won’t turn on. Attached to USB on my computer, does not turn on with or without batteries. I started to press where the camera tripod is but noticed there is no pin to press to reset (Based on some Google searches). Any help would be appreciated because I have my daughters wedding on the flip camera and need to get the videos off. Thank You in advance for your help.

Flip Ultra HD: On/off switch stopped working

I have shot many hours of video with this excellent (and underrated) device. Last week the on/off switch stoppled working. The batteries are good. I was able to back up all the video files to my laptop. Any ideas about the switch? It appears physically in excellent condition.

I found my old flip ultra HD camcorder and well my mom dropped it in the sink a long time ago but it still loads onto my laptop but… when it’s not plugged into anything it doesn’t turn on at all it just blinks red meaning it’s not charged or something? I did charge it for a little but it still won’t work I’m very impatient :( please help!?

My Cisco flip ultra HD model u260 it powers up turns on screen comes on it says English and then when you go to press any of the buttons, the side to side up to down the record to play none of that works. I am screwed. It took it apart the ribbon still connected. Everything looks good, so I have no clue.i

I was just recording when after i ended the video (34 secs) it did not turn on, neither did my computer (windows 10) respond to it. it will light up but nothing happens on screen. i’ve tried resetting it, but nothing works. it is just a brick at this point. I really dont want to get another one because the files will be gone and it would be expensive. so is this a battery, power button, Usb, or the entire thing’s problem

Recently got a replacement Flip Ultra 3. Sadly it is missing the main red recording button. Being discontinued I'm not sure how to get as replacement. There are a few parts on Ebay but mainly the screen. If I could get hold of the design spec for the button I could have it 3D printed.

The ultra flip video camera power won't stay on for longer than 1 second. I put new AA batteries in but to no avail. I just need to access the video on it. And then I will be discarding the camera. Very important footage on the camera. HELP.
