My Fitbit versa watch is running in demo mode. No matter how many times I restart it, it still runs on demo mode. How can I set it to normal?

My Fitbit Versa 1 has a full charge but will only come on while in the charger. I have restarted the device, reset to factory default and still have the same problem. I began having problems after the latest update and noticed that the screen brightness was not responding normally on auto. A few days later I was having problems with the heart rate monitor. All of the sudden, this morning, it just would not come on. Thinking it needed to charge, I placed it on the charger and it was at 45%. I allowed it to charge fully and when I took it off, it would not turn on. Once placed back on the charger, it came on. Is there a fix for this issue?
