Another fault besides tge out of balance. When I switched tge machine off frustrated the Power is switch off but tge High Efficiency keeps flashing . I turned it back on then off still it flashed. This repair man did the seals in my machine months ago. I had to take it back to him tho as apparently it was a faulty part from FnP.

Who knows I know I've had no washer going properly for a year . Also I have a photo of codes that show when it's switched on. I spent$700 with this guy and he carnt fix the out of balance. Does anyone have any idea what should I do?

I am asking this because I want to consider getting rid of my fischer paykel and buying a new different design and make rather than keep replacing multiple times.

Essentially, if my hubby helps me it will be only around 100$ for replacing the rods and braces, but if I call the service tech , it will cost around 350$ which is half the price if this machine. All the top loaders in the market seem to have no agitator in the middle and it seems that is where all of them fail to perform flawlessly (my old Fischer paykel with agitator lasted 16 years without any repair and as good as new. ) While top loaders save my back from bending, I am frustrated with the faulty no agitator design and am planning to get a front loader of a different brand that does not need any repair, period ( I am told that is impossible to find but I am hopeful).

Knowing how many replacements will be required in the lifetime of my Fischer paykel may help me decide whether I should bother replacing the rods and spacers or just buy something different instead.

fault desc: lid lock solenoid keeps clicking loudly until timeout.

Harness to solenoid measures 65 ohms. which is ok.

lid solenoid edge connector to fet measures 20 ohms.

Circuit description:

Board lid solenoid edge connector (marked +) tracks to 2 x 20 ohm surface mount resistors, in parallel, (located near pressure sensor),

then tracks to 2 x Drain pins of micro 8 pin dip fet package, (no numbers).

Repair desc: reflow solder on both 20 ohm resistors.

Verify: lid solenoid edge connector to fet now measures 10 ohms.

Unsure why is now unbalanced. Machine is one of the earlier ones (low agitator)

Aso during the rinse and spin it thumps and bashes around really badly before stopping and beeping and the rinse light stays on, or if I progress it to spin does the same until it stops with the spin light on - and the clothes are still wet.

Been doing it for the past 4 washes perhaps.

I have done two auto tub cleans

The machine stops and displays "Out of Balance" even if only a few clothes in it mostly at when Time to Go display is 27 and 10. Tried many times to reshuffle clothes in it and press "Start/Pause" button. It starts working and stops again with the same message. Kindly help.
