I removed the nail magazine and lubricated down in the plunger and moving parts but the plunger is not firing correctly. It appears to only fire a short distance instead of to the end of the rail. The nail comes out but does not embed into the wood. What is the root cause of the failure?

Ridgid R250SFF: Discharge of single nail

Our R250SFE unit will fire 1 nail but not a second because the driver does not retract to allow for discharge of the second one.When the air supply is removed the driver will retract and will fire a single nail again.The driver only retracts when the air is removed.

Also there is air leaking around the hose connection.

The unit recently was upgraded with the overhau kit.
