Faucet: cant tell what faucet part needs replacing, hoping just a set screw?

Hello, looking for advice on what part needs changing here, and how to go about getting that part. We have a great plumbing repair shop near us, and once I know what I need I should be good. Here's pix, any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Faucet: Bathtub push drain plug doesn’t close flush

Hey

Just moved into a new house and recently changed the push down waste brass fitting in the bathtub as the locking pin had broke.

But now that it’s working up and down when it’s down it doesn’t sit flush to the chrome ring thing around it.
