Farberware percolator: Not heating correctly - incomplete perk

This twenty-two year old, 8 Cup SuperFast Percolator FCP280-A, coffee maker is heating the water but no longer perking correctly. The heating process is quitting to soon. It finishes to quickly with extremely weak brew but hot water. A visual examination reveals no burned internal parts. Continuity check shows good. My question is which part to replace, the main element, the fuse link or the thermostat? I found parts for it here: http://www.thepartsbiz.com/Farberware_by...

Watching the video, as soon as you remove the 5/16 nut, the bottom comes away. Not mine even though it looks exctly the same (I suspect it is a much older version). Tried placing a knife blade at the junction of the chrome and black plastic and whacking it with a hammer - nada. Any ideas?

Farberware Percolator: Why is it percolating twice

I have farberware super fast percolator model 138B. I believe it could be 20 plus years old and still works great until a few days ago.
So, I've taken apart my Farberware FCP412 coffee pot and found the entire heating coil/element is rusted badly. Can the heating element be replaced or shall I just trash it and buy a new coffee percolator?

Farberware Percolator: Coffee pot does not turn off - just replaced the thermostat.

I have an 8-cup Farberware coffee percolator (FCP280) that stopped heating properly (it would not get hot enough and made tea-colored coffee). I replaced the thermostat with a ceramic thermostat for coffee makers that is supposed to turn on at 131 degrees and off at 145 degrees. I tested it with just water and with coffee and it percolated for 15 minutes at which time I unplugged it. Also, I checked the temperature of the coffee and it was 200 degrees.

Any suggestions?
