Essential Phone: Touch Screen Response Messed Up

Image of touch screen response though a drawing app. I dragged my finger down the screen without breaking contact.

My phone has been dropped once several months ago, resulting in a crack on the back but no noticeable problems otherwise. However, as of yesterday (July 22, 2018), the touch screen has been acting odd. Any and all help would be appreciated.
